For next season he should get the minimum and have a Ranocchia role. One of those players who give it all when they play, we need subs like this, not mercenaries who don't give a shit about the club.
I don't think much clubs are interested in him and can pay him much more. He is almost done but can still work as a sub sub.

We shall let him leave. He had some decent games this season, but he already looks really slow.

I really don't know how to feel about this. He clearly isn't able to play on a high level anymore and should leave. We don't have enough players though.

If only there was a chance to give him a 1 year, cheap (less than 1mil) contract, but I doubt that can happen.

I also thought he cannot play at high level anymore but the past season proved that claim to be false. D'Ambrosio was very useful specially at the second part of the season when backing up in the RCB position. He was used in matches where we mostly had control and he wasn't struggling at all. Street smarts gets you a long way.

D'ambrosio role should be handle over to primaveras or more younger player. Nacho could be that man, but his demand is massive.

There's still plenty of Interisti whom never appreciated his efforts and decisiveness throughout the years. Certainly he was never a Maicon type of player or not even close to that level but the guy was decisive on his own way. I will always be grateful for his commitment and professionalism.

To me he is a soul of Inter because the guy would run through brick wall for this club.

I would love if he retired here but whatever happens next, I wish him nothing but best of luck and have great respect.

I'll remember him as Danilo "the back post" Dambrosio. Good squad player for us for so many years.

He was always ready to give it a go, and for the most part successful. He was a mighty warrior for Inter and at times a favorite, unfortunately time caught up to him and he has to move on. Never heard him get into any problems either, maybe a little nasty to Inter's opponents but that's fine. If he joins one of the turkish sides, they'll get true professional. Good luck to him and his nearest and dearest in whatever he decides.

Not the greatest football player in any way, shape or form, but one of the greatest people we've had around the club the last two or three decades. Zanetti was Moratti's first purchase as a Inter president, and D'Ambro was Thohir's. Without making a comparison between the two ability-wise, they share a lot of the same qualities. Hard-working, self-sacrificing, loyal, always putting the good of the team before them, unwavering, deputizing when needed, and also, at times, being sheer, definiable quality.
He's always been derided as not being 'Inter-quality', whatever that means, but even a great team can't consist of 25 superstars. D'Ambro was and is a brick, on which a solid foundation is built upon. That's never a bad thing.

Also, fun fact, which is literally mindblowing, D'Ambrosio is the second-highest scoring defender in the history of the club after Facchetti. That tells you a lot about his shrewdness and ability to get himself into positions.

In a time where players don't really seem to hold any special regard to their clubs, and even though you try to not really bond toward players anymore, I've always personally felt otherwise with Danilo. Who knows if he could've been what he has been for us elsewhere, but he didn't. He stayed with us for 9 years, only a few of them being glorious.
