Television [STRICTLY NO SPOILERS!]

I love vampires, werewolves, ghosts, zombies and similar creature stories and have watched almost everything about them. However, there is always something that gets overlooked. I stumbled upon ''The Strain'' by chance and I'm about to finish the first season.

It has a lot of boring scenes but I still keep watching because I'm curious about the end of the story. I gotta say though, I hate when Americans put shitty family dramas in every unrelated drama and movie.

I watched the first season of Strain and had the exact same feelings about it - boring scenes but curious about the end. I guess I was not curious enough so stopped wathing after the first season

I think they did it on purpose to gain attention, cause everyone knows Cleopatra was a Greek woman, but they wanted people to get to know about the documentary and watch it to see what all the fuss is about.

Finally I binge-watched and I'm 100% agree with you. It's definitely not a masterpiece despite what I expected from HBO.

Also I couldn't get real Joel&Ellie vibes from Pascal&Ramsay. They're great though.

Will I watch the next seasons ? Hell yeah ! Because saying "it's not a masterpiece" doesn't mean it's not worth watching.

I didn't like the girl they picked to be Ellie.... the 1st choice was Macy Williams (Arya but she aged out) think she should have been a bit younger than both actresses. Pedro Pascal is awesome. I didn't like his brother or who they picked as his wife. Feel it was just we need to hire old HBO actors who we used in series that use to be popular.

For me season 1 should have ended with them getting to Tommy. More time with Sam and more Infected. Season 2 is 2nd half of the game. Season 3 1st half of the game or up into the turning point. 4th/5th season are remaining parts of part 2. While people mention a 3rd game .... part 2 ends in a way that really makes it hard to have a 3rd.

I mean she's just a kid.... when it's a 16/17 year old is different than a 12/13 year old. She in military school.... to a point she needs to start working or start her military service..... I think she is just too old

At that point it's a romantic interest and not a father daughter situation. Feel she should have been his Daughters age like in the game. Not a lot older.

Ariya would like that too.... all the actors on that show are like please bring us back we need work !!! They all feel off the face of the earth other than Pedro Pasqual, Aquaman and Rob Stark

Mayor of Kingstown looks promising. I'm in the middle of 1st season and it already gave me The Wire vibes. Also my man Littlefinger from GoT is in it.

The Wire has tons of amazing side charachters but I wouldn't even put Carcetti in the top 50. Gillen is Littlefinger and he'll always remain as Littlefinger in our hearts.

I liked it. If it was a Disney show it would get more love. I don’t like the weird human/ elite character but it was interesting and the action was pretty good for the budget. I just don’t get the random Korean planet side quest that goes no where.
