will Napoli get dismantled or they going to keep most their guys? I mean they can probably get 100m for 3 of their stars that they paid very little for in Kim, Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia
75mil for Osimhen is very little?

Do you really believe that Napoli payed 75M for Osimhen?

LILLE ONLY RECEIVED HALF OF FEE FROM VICTOR OSIMHEN’S TRANSFER TO NAPOLI

November 21, 2021

L’Équipe have broken down the much-scrutinised transfer of striker Victor Osimhen from Lille to Napoli in the summer of 2020, revealing that the current title holders only received around €36m out of the €71.3m fee.

Former Lille president Gérard Lopez had explained to RMC after the transfer that the transaction was set at €71.3m along with €10m in potential bonuses. Speaking to La Voix du Nord, current president Oliver Létang reported the fee to be only €68m, with the current club management indicating that only €10m has been brought in by the Nigerian’s move.

According to the documents read by L’Équipe, the €10m bonus brought up by Lopez is dependent on Napoli reaching the Champions League quarter-finals over the next four years – €2.5m for every time the Italians reach the last eight.

Part of the €71.3m fee includes €20m made up of four players which went the opposite way, a transaction which allowed Napoli to ease their Financial Fair Play obligations by registering incoming transfer fees. Gérard Lopez had accepted the offer as a result of the immediate cash injection it would provide, contrary to offers from other teams who would have paid in instalments.

One of these players is goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis, who is currently injured and has played one match so far with Les Dogues. The three others are Italian players whose contracts have been terminated and currently play in the lower leagues – Ciro Palmieri, Luigi Liguori, Claudio Manzi. All three young players were evidently sold for far beyond their worth, having been earning between €5,000 and €10,000 a month at the time of their sales.

LOSC were also made to pay out €3m of the transfer fee to Osimhen’s previous clubs in compensation, under FIFA’s recent scheme. An additional €8.3m was paid out to Charleroi as a signing-on fee. €6m are to go towards agents’ fees, although these are currently blocked by the club, who are investigating the legal nature of these.
Finally, Lille also paid interest on a loan from Banca Ifis, who billed the payment of the transfer fee in return for an interest rate of 4%. Lille received €40m from Banca Ifis. According to an internal souce, Osimhen brought in €36m to the club, which greatly relieved its financial issues during the summer of 2020.

The extra was made up from player sales, as Napoli handed veteran goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis, plus youth team players Claudio Manzi, Ciro Palmieri and Luigi Liguori over to Lille.
However, the youth players never actually represented Lille, as Manzi and Palmieri were immediately loaned to Fermana in Serie C.

So was Liguori, but he moved again on loan to Lecco in February.

Playing in the third division, one wonders how these three combined to be worth €30m.

June 2022: According to Il Mattino, La Repubblica, Sky Sport Italia and others, police raided Napoli and Lille offices in Naples, Rome and France today as part of the investigation.
The deal has long been a cause of controversy, as the official €70m transfer plus €10m in bonuses fee was only circa €50m in cash, the other €20m made up of goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis and three youth team players Luigi Liguori, Claudio Manzi and Ciro Palmieri.

The value of the youth team players immediately raised eyebrows, because they were given vastly inflated prices on the transfer market.

This caused even more controversy when the three players never actually wore the Lille jersey, as they were immediately loaned out to Serie C sides and their contracts were simply terminated a year later free of charge.

The players went to the media complaining the deal had ruined their careers and they were used as pawns in a larger transaction used to bolster the finances of both Napoli and Lille.

Luigi Liguori, one of the youth players given a hugely-inflated transfer value as part of the Victor Osimhen deal between Napoli and LOSC, confirms he has ‘never even been to Lille. We felt really angry, they ruined our careers.’
Repubblica newspaper tracked down Liguori, who is now playing in the Eccellenza amateur division, to ask just how realistic his transfer valuation was.

“I was on loan at Fermana in Serie C. In June, Napoli called and offered us two options: sign a one-year extension and stay or sign a three-year contract with Lille as part of the Osimhen transfer. What would you have done? We signed for Lille.
“However, I’ve never even been to Lille, we signed the contracts there and were left on loan in Italy. On July 1 this year, Lille sent a message that we should all go to France, but we didn’t want to, so we accepted the early termination.
“Unfortunately, we didn’t know what was going on at the time, it was only a few weeks later that we uncovered it all.”

Rather than be a boost to their careers, Liguori insists being involved in this financial game behind the scenes ruined their opportunities.
“I was valued at €4m in the transfer. This weighed heavily on my career and it really made me angry. We discovered it was not a transfer for us, it was all for someone else.
“I still keep in contact with the other two lads involved in the transfer and we say to each other, we had a three-year contract. Our careers were ‘ruined’ because of Napoli, because we didn’t know anything about it.”
guys refused to go to France according to the contract they had, yet they are blaming Napoli for their careers :awyeah:

January 23, 2023:
Napoli are now set to be investigated for the transfer that brought Victor Osimhen from Lille to the Partenopei, with reports stating that the full investigation could last as many as six months.

Sky Italia have now added more details around the investigation and why it is taking place. Their report claims that the Osimhen transfer is not the only Napoli move which is being investigated but four other transfers are also under the scanner currently.
From an investigation launched by the French JIRS Prosecutor’s Office (Juridiction Interrégionale Spécialisée – Specialized Interregional Jurisdiction) following a complaint against unknown persons made in October 2021 by the new owners of Lille which, a review of the financial statements noticed financial irregularities and reported that to the French authorities.
Osimhen’s actual price was €71.246 million plus €10 million bonuses. The payment was to made across five years and as part of the move, the following players had moved to Lille to make up for the finances:
  • Orestis Karnezis: €4.8 million
  • Ciro Palmieri: €7 million
  • Claudio Manzi: €4 million
  • Luigi Liguori: €4 million
The investigation has been going on since last summer when 5 warrant notices were served for:
  • False accounting against president of the board of directors at Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis, his son Edoardo De Laurentiis and Aurelio’s wife Jacqueline Baudit, the latter two as vice presidents of the board.
  • Andrea Chiavelli was accused of false accounting, as managing director of the board of directors of the Napoli.
  • The same crime, false accounting, is also charged by the investigators against Valentina De Laurentiis , daughter of Aurelio, as managing director of the board of directors of the Partenopei.
  • Finally, for the crime of fraudulent declaration, only the chairman Aurelio de Laurentiis is under investigation (as legal representative of the company)
Initially, the matter was already dealt with during the first capital gains investigation and no offences were found, as the Partenopei were acquitted. In the ongoing investigation, the major difference between Juventus’ investigation and Napoli’s investigation is that there are no tapped audio calls or phone recordings to concretely verify that false accounting was done.

January 23, 2023:

Prosecutor asks for extension in Osimhen transfer investigation

The Naples Public Prosecutor’s Office has reportedly requested a six-month extension for their investigation into the transfer of Victor Osimhen from Lille to Napoli.

La Repubblica details how the Naples Public Prosecutor’s Office wants an extra six months to carry out their investigation into the Osimhen transfer, believing the four relatively unknown players in the deal had inflated values.

Prosecutor Francesco De Falco, working alongside Assistant Prosecutor Sergio Amato, believes that Napoli may have produced false communications in their financial statements for July 2020 to June 2021, based on that Osimhen transfer.

Should new evidence emerge, sporting proceedings could be reopened against the Partenopei, similar to the situation Juventus are currently dealing with.

Sports justice had already acquitted Napoli

Prosecutor Chiné has the right to request the investigation papers from the Naples prosecutor's office to verify if there are new and relevant facts with respect to those of the first trial which ended with the acquittal of Napoli and its managers. Sports justice had already dealt with the matter, in the first line of the capital gains investigation, without, however, detecting any offences. The evaluation made (and entered in the budget) of the 4 players who ended up from Napoli to Lille as a counterpart had ended up in the sights of the federal prosecutor's office, but the impossibility of establishing an objective value for a player had led to acquittals in the first and second degree.
ADL played it smart, have to give him that.

So the worth of Osimhen is still 75mil at the time, no matter what kind of deal ADL made.

Stop trying to be a smartass, Dario, yer just an ass.

What a poor attempt of a direct insult, so poor that it`s not even worth reporting...

Accoding to transfermarkt, the worth of Osimhen was €40M at that time [2020]. That`s probably one of the reasons LOSC Lille agreed to such creative accounting.

Ass or tits, yet ADL was smart enough to do this workaround while being covered by legal grounds. His current transfer value is €100M, so he did well to tap up the apparent transfer value so ADL can justify an even bigger transfer price in the future.

Ndicka edges closer to Roma move

Evan Ndicka could formalise his free transfer to Roma by the end of the month after a recent positive meeting between his agents and the club, reports detail.

The 23-year-old French defender’s contract expires with Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of this season and his deal will not be renewed, making him available on a free transfer in the summer.

Ndicka had hoped for Barcelona to make a move but their lack of effort has pushed him to allow his agents to work on a deal with Roma. A draft agreement has already been drawn up, a four-year deal worth around €2m net per season plus add-ons.

Calciomercato.com details how Ndicka’s agents were in Trigoria a few days ago, where they chatted and embraced Roma coach Jose Mourinho. It was a positive meeting and another sign that the Frenchman would be heading to the Italian capital at the end of the season.

Some rumours suggest that he’s already carried out some initial medical tests in Austria, in a clinic linked to the Friedkins, but this has not been confirmed.
€2M/season is pretty good IMO, especially when we`re looking at Inter extending De Vrij for €3.8 - €4M/year.

BTW it seems that Daichi Kamada has recently rejected a contract offer from Borussia Dortmund.

The Japan international is said to be more keen on heading to La Liga but Napoli are waiting in the wings to see if they can snap him up.

La Gazzetta dello Sport today have reported that Napoli have been quite impressed by Kim Min-Jae’s performances on and off the pitch and they would want some more players of his work-ethic and discipline in the side. Two names on their shortlist are Mallorca’s Kang In-Lee and Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo. But they are also interested in Kamada, whose contract at Eintracht Frankfurt expires in the summer and contact with his agents has already been made.

But with Kim being linked with a move to Manchester United and his exit beyond Napoli’s control due to a release clause in his deal, the Partenopei are also looking at two Asian defenders to shore up their backline. They are Stuttgart’s Hiroki Ito and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Ko Itakura, who have done well at club level so far.

Having said that, Lens’ Austrian defender Kevin Danso is also of interest to Napoli and contact was made recently for the player.

I only hope ADL will not easily let Giuntoli join Jubentus, especially after reports that Giuntoli has already agreed terms with the Turin-based mafiosi.

I believe it's 5 million a year as Milan are helping to pay 20 million that was owed to Sporting after Leao/Lille were sued regarding his original transfer. All previous reports said Leao would be getting 7 million per year, so my guess is that the 5 million is due to the additional fee.

Ndicka can be vice Bastoni.

I believe he will choose Inter rather than Roma

Giuntoli is gonna deal with lots of deadwood at Juventus next summer. Zakaria and Arthur will certainly return from their loan spells. McKennie redemption counts on Leeds staying in Premier League and even Spurs have doubts if Kulusevski is worth the cost of the option.

If Spurs decline Kulushevski, maybe we could try to get him for something like 25 mln?

I don't get how player like Ibanez gather any kind of interest in him.

We've had so much success signing free rejects over the years, maybe its time for Milan to hit one jackpot aswell. You never know how players turn out when they never played in Serie A, but Japanese players have grinta. Doesn't look like another Keisuke Honda . Looks reliable goalscorer .

Fiorentina and several Premier League clubs are scouting Dia and Salernitana’s asking price is close to €35m.
Salernitana are reportedly thinking of Scamacca - he would be a cheaper replacement given that the Azzurri forward can leave West Ham for €25m.

One of the most overrated players of the recent history. Despite being prone to brainfarts, shit character and everything else, yet again he managed to get away with it while playing along with Chiellini, whom did almost all the job done and was like a mentor.
