This is perhaps the most lopsided UCL final ever. City is deservedly the favourite and we are fighting against the odds. To put into perspective, Lautaro is arguably our biggest star yet he was benched for Julian Alvarez in the NT who is benched for Haaland. It also applies for every position where none of our players would be their starters. And let's talk about cohesion. Did you see the spectacle against Madrid? How they suffocated Madrid with their pressing and interplay? We are doomed if they replicate their form against us.

Be that as it may, anything can happen in 90 minutes. That is why football is beautiful because when the better team always win, we would give up watching it because everything is fixed. We have a very sliver of chance of winning and that only happens if they do not bring their A game while we collectively play like possessed men until the last blood drop. Ever wonder how Spezia and Monza could beat us ? Now, we are the Spezia so our players should have conviction that nothing is impossible

Fluke or not, winning or losing, we should be proud of our team who manage to go this far with strapped budget and plunged into the group of death with Muenchen and Barcelona yet survived from the inferno.

Bro, you just made Inter 10 times worse. City is a stronger team for sure but we are not Monza and Spezia to them. We have played several top teams in the past 2 seasons and none of them walked all over us.

Football is decided by details. Certain players might not show up, or give their A game in a certain match. A coach might take his plan wrong. We can't foresee these things. We can't even say if City walked all over Real and Bayern then they will defnitely walk all over us. Each match is different and a lot of details will decide the fate of the match, including luck. I believe we have 30-40% chance to win this, not 10% or something.

You've all said it multiple times, but I don't think Inter stands much of a chance against man $hitty. Not even this good run of form of Inter is enough to stop them.
Their team has just to much quality,

I personally see Inter only having a 10% chance to win (which is still a chance). As a matter of fact, I'm very glad Inter to be in the final, but somehow I'am really not looking forward to the game.

It's important to remember that Inter has been slowly picking themselves up in the last 5 years. Nobody can deny that this is a good generation for us, but if we manage to win the CL, this generation becomes great :)

Proud of the boys nonetheless what happens.

Yes, on paper they have bigger names, but this is football. And, this is only one game. I can not accept that: Brozo, Hakan, Barella, Bastoni, Lautaro can not play against them. We have excellent players. If they leave heart on the field, if they play like it is their last game in life, we can win. This game will be psihically very demanding, so Brozo and Lukaku MUST start. DiMarco to mark KDB, Darmian on Rodrigo, Bastoni on Haaland, all the time. I will bet on Inter.

Stones' evolution as Rodri's midfield partner is worrying, that combo tore Madrid to shreds. Even more so than Haaland, we have to think about how to stop Rodri from pulling the strings. he was magnificent
Who would have thought after all these years a CB in the midfield would be Pep’s go to system. Mourinho has to be smiling a little bit.

My dad, who’s not a betting man:

“You should put $10 on Inter, just in case they win”

Me: “They’re paying $7”

Dad: “Maybe not then, I assumed they would be paying a lot better against City”

Pep is the same guy that had midfielders playing CB or fullback. I don't know if Mascherano as CB was first or Pepe as DM

Yes and no, Pep has him there when he wants to play high press, outplay midfield. Stones evan goes higher than Rodri who is in meditate tempo. His main job is recovering ball quickly, attacking opponent play maker player. Then City will switch back to 4 men defending, Akanji or Ake can play RB, both Silva and Grealish tracks back to help, only Haaland and De Bruyne up front.

The things is City mainly facing team using variations of 4-3-3 this season, so with 6 men in the middle, they can isolate wingers and early counter attack. Only goal Real had is coming from deep build up in left wing and City played more conservative in 1st lag.

With 3-5-2, we have two strikers who also can play deep and track back, make space for our wingbacks. City hasn’t been tested with this formation, if I remember correctly. This is my hope because City cannot play the way they did and overthinking Pep strikes again.

If we have one thing on our side, I'd say is the "wild card" factor, what i mean is that with slow teams, we can play even slower and lose from them, but then again with fast teams, we play beautiful fast football.

l don't think we're better than Real, but i think it's much more difficult for Pep to crack our code. We're way too volatile. Not having an "identity" in our gameplay this season, might just win us the CHL.

Pep is a calculating robot of a coach, City's players under him are like the people from Equilibrium, they take the pill and follow orders.

Once they witness irl some nonsense Inter passes, their brains will not be able to comprehend what's happening :D

Found a pic of the only Inter game I’ve ever been to. 2010 friendly vs City, which we lost 1-0.
I believe inter won this friendly 3-0 at mt bank stadium in Baltimore with a screamer from Biraghi (?) I think. I remember because my dad and brother went to the game while I was in Milano lol

Would anyone actually prefer to start Dzeko over Lukaku?

Only reason for that is Dzeko being quite useless as an impact sub unless we have full possession and keep drilling the ball in. Which won't happen.

So I guess it's the only way unless we trust Correa enough lol
