I believe inter won this friendly 3-0 at mt bank stadium in Baltimore with a screamer from Biraghi (?) I think. I remember because my dad and brother went to the game while I was in Milano lol

Also an Obinna dopietta :D

Actually so proud of this team for making it to this, regardless of the outcome.

I worry City are going to put Brozo in a cage, especially with Stones in that new position. I know Hakan will also be there, but Brozovic is so crucial for our control over games. I’m assuming Mkhi won’t be fit enough to start.

Our main advantage is our ability during quick transitions after turnovers, which we absolutely hammered Milan with. There’ll be much fewer opportunities against City, of course, but we can still hurt them like that.

Forza Inter.

I don’t think it matters much as to whether Lukaku or Dzeko starts. They both have pretty good football intelligence, maybe Lukaku has better passing, but neither of them will be able to out pace their defenders. Although o think it is true that Dzeko has not been as good as a sub.

Everyone talks about City performance, but they forget it's City's home performance.

Their last 10 games vs top teams away ended with:
4 draws in UCL, 1 win in UCL, 2 win 3 loss in cups/league

So it's typcially Guardiola's team which is almost unbeatable at home, where they play with high pressure and possession while
away they're nothing special.

I know they haven't lost in like last 25 agmes, last loss was vs Tottenham back in February, but this time they are playing the finals at
neutral field. I don't know how good is the pitch and in what condition it is, since it's Turkey, not UK, but this usually gives City, Barca and similar football
style teams a disadvantage, while for example Italians got used to shit grass and pitches

Old good catennacio on mediocre/good quality pitch with louder fans support with a lot of fouls and interruptions could do a miracle to us.
Oh yes, and we need tons of luck, but hey we're INTER!!

Tell me I'm crazy, but i believe in this, we can do them!! Forza!

Who would have thought after all these years a CB in the midfield would be Pep’s go to system. Mourinho has to be smiling a little bit.

I certainly didn't see it coming. Grealish and Silva as pseudo wingbacks had me perplexed as well. I guess it's easier to smash football paradigms when you have more money to play with than many countries defense budget

one thing I'm sure of: there's no chance in hell our midfield will be as passive as Madrid's was yesterday.

A quick reminder for those who intend to come to the game :

Istanbul olympic stadium is not in Istanbul but in Timbuktu. That's how fuckin far from the city.

In 1915, the Ottomans were considered the underdogs. The English would land at Gallipoli and seize Istanbul in a "one sided" contest. Instead, after 8 months and hundreds of thousands of casualties, the English were forced to withdraw.
This time, the English will reach Istanbul, but Master Çalhanoğlu can be relied up to honour his forefathers' legacy.

I'm only worried about three City players, but one of them is the main piece here.

De Bruyne
Bernardo Silva
Rodri

If Rodri doesn't play, our chances increase significantly. He's by far their most important player.

If De Bruyne doesn't play, it's very good but they have 2-3 players who can adequately replace him in one game with everyone else being fit.
And Bernardo on his day is just too good.

Of course Haaland can be lethal on his day, but we just have to make sure that we contain him and don't let the ball reach his feet. Or in the area.

The irony is that this City team is made up of several players who don't want to be there.
Bernardo wants out
Mahrez wants out
Ederson was itching to leave
Gundogan kinda wants to leave
Laporte has asked to leave at the end of the season
Cancelo wanted out, and left

Guardiola has managed to keep most of them calm during games and not express any discomfort, which shows some ability on his end, but at the same time these guys probably know that their chances of winning another CL at another team aren't as high, so they're motivated as fuck.

This final will be a lot easier on my nerves than 2010. I went into that final thinking it's been so long and these players are so old this is our only shot. We played all the hardest teams to get there it needed to be done.

Now I feel quite happy we are here in the final, and I'd love for players like Toro, barella, brozo even handa to enter our history books at the same time I feel like beating bbilan and getting here is pretty much job done for this team.

This game will be suited to us. Underdog, defending in a low block and countering. Anything can happen let's make history Forza Inter Sempre
