Sorry, but the fatigue element is crucial here. Where would you buy the fatigue element?
With CL und Coppa final, Inter will play maximum official games we could possible play. There are none others.
You may not buy the fatigue factor but coaches Klopp and Pep who more than ones fought on many fronts to the end have always pointed out to the importance of a deep sqaud. No offense, but I would take their opinion over yours.

Our roster is thin, old (Darmian, Acerbi, Mikhi, Dzeko - all senators und geriatric) und we were also not so lucky with injuries of many key players (Skrniar, Brozo, Lukaku were out long time). Under these circumstances I don`t see how we can fight successfully on all fronts. Something must be given.
I dont really buy the fatigue argument because, for example, its not like last year we didnt have CL knock out games as well? And starting with when we beat Porto is when we started to come apart in the league - loss to Bologna, beat Lecce, loss to Spezia, loss to Juve, loss to Fiorentina, etc.

I absolutely buy fatigue as an overall argument, but I dont particularly buy it for Inter in the context of the Feb/March results - our current fixture list is just as packed as it was then, and it doesnt seem to be so much of an issue now, no? And yet now we're winning consecutive games and competing on all 3 fronts (top 4)

So we kind of need to pick an argument here really, IMHO. I think we hit bad form with the strikers and Inzaghi failed to dig the guys out of it for an extended period of time, and the team just generally played poorly. When they've managed to re-build their mental strength and see the opportunity after 2 shit months, they're back to form and enthusiasm.

I know in CB we had to play the same back line more consistently, but I wouldnt be surprised (be interested to see some data if anyone wants to crunch it) if we've been *more consistent* with our starting XI in the last few weeks than we were mid-Feb/March. Happy to be wrong on that, though.

He's essentially the anti-Conte. Mediocre in the league, and good in Europe/cups.

didn't he finish 2nd with Lazio? Or his team was first during the covid season before they started making them play every 3 games. I mean I think he was unlucky last season (making us buy Correa when we had Sanchez was a fk up) tho with the roster we have got to say not bad. We are 3rd in the league and final of Copa Italy and champions league all in all great season. Unlucky on alot of the loses we had. We have obsoletely no bench other than the wingback and striker rotation but let's be honest Correa/Gosen/BEllanova aren't good enough for this team and we gotten lucky.

aren't you related to fitness/physiotherapy medical stuff?

Ever done this with sports teams?
If so, care to explain to our resident members how longterm fatigue works, how hitting top form at a given time during a season is typically by design and that there are periods where legs are too heavy to do anything?

Just a general though it IMHO would be a real shame if the world never gets to see what Inzaghi could do if he gets to spend money. Now he might fail spectacularly but i cant help but think if he ever get to spend money and build a team it would play some great football.

We have done that over short periods and in certain games and Simones input on this squad has been very fucken little. Also it most probably wont happen here...

He had to keep his record of losing every 3rd game in the league

I blame him only for not taking out N5 early. Otherwise he made good subs, and we could have withstood if it wasn't the end of the season. I hope he learned his lesson and bench Gagliardini forever.

We reached the CL final not because of Inzaghi, but in spite of him. Players had to put an extra effort to make up for his mistakes

Dream scenario would be we win CL and mutually part ways with him. He’ll go down as an Inter legend and will forever be part of our history and will be able to get another amazing club to manage.

But if he stays it will get ugly and won’t end well for either party. Obvious to anyone with a football brain

Imagine beeing angry with your manager for rotating when we have 4 games left of which two are finals and we have a thin as shit squad...
Exactly. FIF went full flipflop again. The main objective is getting into CL spots, everything else is an added bonus. Unless Inzaghi doesn't make it, I'm happy with him staying
