The main issue with Nacho is that coming from Real he would probably expect to be a starter. I would like a younger and faster defender for starting rcb.
Why would he expect that? Just because Acerbi came at 35 and is a starter? :D

Pavard wants Serie A move with Inter and Milan interested – report

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard wants to move to Serie A in the summer, with Inter and Milan interested.

The France international is a long-time target of both Milanese sides. Inter offered €20m to sign him in the January transfer window, but the Bavarians refused to sell following an injury to Lucas Hernandez, brother of Milan defender Theo.

Now, according to Gazzetta, Pavard has decided to leave Germany at the end of the season and wants to prove himself in Serie A.

According to the report, the defender has recently informed his club about his desire to join a new club in the summer.

Milan and Inter remain interested. This past December, Pavard admitted that he often spoke with his compatriot Olivier Giroud about life and football in Italy.

The 27-year-old, who is under contract at the Allianz Arena until June 2024 also attended a Milan match at San Siro in April meeting some Rossoneri players in the dressing room after the final whistle.
Serie A is the heaven of defenders. If he really means it, this transfer can become reality.

Inter will try 15M+bonuses and get it done.

How high is his salary?
What I found in the net, his salary is around 2.5mln net, which is not high by any means. 20 mln transfer fee maybe is high for 1 year of contract remaining, but considering the quality of the player, it's acceptable. Anyway, I prefer him for 20 mln, than Skalvini for 40.

Obviously for his new contract, Pavard would be looking to at least double that salary probably. If Bastoni will be making 5m+, World Cup champion and two-time finalist and CL winner will want at least the same.

Probably 4m will be enough.

Yeah, neither is 20m high nor that salary for him. But obviously paying more millions for trashbags are easier for Inter.

Offer him 4m+bonus. Even 5m is ok. 20m for Pavard is a steal.

Nacho on 4m for 3 years is fine, but 2 years plus 1 optional year would be more preferable. We were only able to entice him with the multi-year contract.

Nonetheless, even if we have a very restricted transfer budget, a 20 million investment in Pavard is a no-brainer. This RCB position is the top priority, and resources should be committed to it.
Despite the fact that we are dealing with Bayern here, it is not as if they are in severe need of finances.

Bayern are usually decent to deal with when buying from them, especially if the player wants to leave. Remember Shaqiri?

Yes, we may still be on good terms with them, and we did give them Perisic back then.
However, they are currently undergoing a major restructuring, so who knows what the new management is going to do.
