    Simone Inzaghi

What good is a big squad if you can't use the backups in a relatively easier game? And the game could be killed early on had Lautaro or Frattesi taken the chances they are supposed to.

    English Premier League 24/25

It's a great move. Adds depth, they are very low on depth in forward areas. Also Sterling, when used properly, can be useful. Arteta has worked with him earlier, so has some comfort too.

    UEFA Champions League 2024/2025

Few thoughts after finally seeing the format and draw - The format is made to have more big games, keep people interested. - It also makes it more predictable with more matches and league format, and favours the big teams. - Going by general league standings, about 15-16 points will be needed...

    Federico Chiesa

Chiesa to Barca seems a Kessie type signing. Decent player, signing cos of getting a decent bargain. But it won't work, and they will be parting ways in a year.

2nd forward, or to be used in a 3 striker formation when we are chasing games.

Mercato Team (Ausilio, Marotta, & Co.) and Strategies

The issue with Frattesi is of technique. Those are the basics. You can't learn that at this age. Brozovic had the basics right. It was more a matter of role and understanding on the pitch. Those can improve with the right guidance and coaching.

Watch Atalanta go for Gudmundsson instead.

    Beppe Marotta

Both are at fault here. Absolutely. And let me get this out before the summer ends, or Bremer's future is decided (though it is 99% going to be at Juve now). In favour of Marotta - Well the man is helpless. He could have closed the deal earlier, but maybe the mandate was to generate money by...

    Gleison Bremer

So Bremer unliked that post about Inter that he liked last week..

    Simone Inzaghi

Our forward line is still better than last season. We have to be more concerned about the back line, and the wings.

    Beppe Marotta

Absolutely. Even if we have Lukaku for a loan, he is more of a guarantee for a title fight than Dybala. From a neutral standpoint, Dybala to Roma is a good deal. More quality for them, Mourinho can fight for a CL spot, and it gives a chance seeing Dybala in an environment that is centered...

    Beppe Marotta

As much as I wanted Dybala, I'm not heartbroken about losing him. He was always meant to be the 1st choice forward sub for me. He would have been better than Dzeko, Correa, Sanchez. But still not first choice to start. But losing Bremer would be devastating. That would lead to this mercato...

    Gleison Bremer

This is worrisome. Juve can offer far more money to the player, and are more desperate than us. The sporting aspect would be fucked, since it practically cements Juve as a favourite for the title. And humiliation would be worse at a personal level, for Marotta. He has to get this done now.

    Gleison Bremer

All this talk about signing Bremer earlier or on lower numbers is hogwash. Of course there is a delay, but we have used that time to secure other transfers in June. And everyone knew dealing with Torino isn't going to be easy. There is nothing to suggest that Bremer would have been available...

    Stefan de Vrij

It depends on how the situation plays out. If we get Bremer, and Skriniar doesn't leave (or if the negotiations drag out longer), De Vrij will reconsider his chances here. It's a WC year, and he will want to be play consistently.

    Beppe Marotta

Of the 5 forwards, 2 are in their last year, 1 is on loan, and 1 is not good enough for a title contending side.

    Stefan de Vrij

Why would he accept lower wages? He's only 30, so he should be at top level for another 4 years. Koulibaly just got a big contract at the same age. Also him having a bad season is a bit fetching. It wasn't his best, but he wasn't poor. Moments like Giroud turning him tend to be sensational...

30m LMAO I thought he would be available on a free transfer or a low fee (<10m), in which case it makes sense as a backup.
