I don’t see why he can’t play as a SS striker in our system. A lot of clubs would have kept him in the first team this year and given him Sanchez’ minutes. However we play in Serie A so..

To be fair this happened one time. He was subbed on and didn’t last against Sampdoria. However, he actually played a decent amount of minutes last year. Personally, I fully understand why he’s not in the CL list. But, he is better than Klassen. I just want to see players play based on their merit.

I was thinking the same thing. There was one ball in particular in the second half he let go through that if the Benfica player had anticipated him doing that could have resulted in a dangerous situation. However the Benfica player probably thought he would clear it as most defenders at this...

I thought in the second half he looked much better in terms of general midfield play. He didn’t give the ball up much and was able to use his athleticism well in transition.

I’d have loved to see Sensi in this side today instead of Klassen. I know he’s not on the CL list.

This is still 2/3 of our starters in defense at the weekend. Shows how important our midfield is for us defensively.

Our record with Acerbi playing at LCB is actually really good. I can’t really recall a match we lost with him playing there. However at this level you can see his deficiencies there. This squad has been missing a real back up in that position for a long time.

As I’ve said it’s too early to say whether or not he’s a good signing. The signs have been positive when he’s fit. If he can stay healthy and rotate with Dumfries I think he can be another good veteran signing.

We haven’t done enough with our possession for me.

Mkhi finishing this game must be down to the fact he didn’t play over the international break. He’s been trash though.
