Well I think the clubs was willing to spend over the odds for Lucas because they really wanted him and they wanted to market him as a star player, but it ended how it ended. I don't know any thing about Pereira hopefully the good things you guys are saying about him are true and if they are hopefully he can show what he's got in the Italian league. Uruguayans tend to suck with us so let's hope for the best

I estimated the number given the moves they are going for in the market. Reports of sudden interest in DMF loan deals coinciding with Periera bid. Most reports Sky/Gazzetta estimating which player's valuation are too high for the clubs.

Also, we never negotiated more than 25m with Lucas, and we never put in an official bid, which indicated even the 25m we never fully financed (also goes with reports of Moratti trying to get PIrelli to help sign Lucas to utlize his image right in marketing campaigns in Brazil).

All those factors put together would point to a remaining purse of 15-20m.

Given 3 slots FB,DMF,Winger. I would guess by previous market movemement and Strama's statements that DMF and winger are our two top priorities. So this move needs to either free JZ to go to midfield (leaving a winger left), or Pereira will be a wingback (leaving a DMF left).

I don't think we have money to sign 3 players at this point.

The good news is that after the Hajduk game our management realized how awful Johnathan is, and we started looking for the new full back. So this loss was somehow useful, indeed.

Well we need a good attacking fullback. Especially a LB which has been a curse for years. I'm not too familiar with Pereira but I like what I've read here.
