we'll let mancini decide that

not that theres anything wrong with maxwell

chivu is just hands down better at LB

Azzkikr hates Mancini so that argument isn't going to convince him.;)

I dont hate mancini, i just think he is tacticaly incapable to control a team such as inter. He should be coaching in serie b.

Regarding chivu being better lb, who knows, he has played cb regularly for roma for a long time now. Maxwell has without doubt more talent and potential, its really retarded if he now has to be second choice for lb again, after fighting and taking it from grosso in the past season.

Maxwell needs to play to improve and reach the his potential, its a shame if he wont get that chance just because we buy chivu - a player we dont even need.

Man I'm tired of seeing people talk about Andreolli like he's the best young defender in the hall world!! Yes he has potential and can improve to be a good defender, but no way we can rely on him in big games against top sides!!

The guy needs to develop be playing REGULARLY week-in week-out, not by playing occasionally in Coppa Italia games!! That's why I'm so with sending him on loan for a season or two to see how he develops.

He is not the best young defender of the world, but it's the best young Italian defender :)

That's why he needs to move to prove himself and gain experience. Otherwise, his career will be hurt if stays with us and not play enough.

In my opinion, Andreolli doesn't have the "Charisma" to be a great defender as yet. He's not "shrewed" and "tough" enough to be a great defender and unless he plays more top level football he'll never gain that.

I totally Agree, i think a loan would be a good choice for him, just my opinion.

Nesta and Cannavaro were already starters at Lazio and Napoli at ANdreolli's age, he must go on loan to another team next season, or Mancini should consider taking a risk and giving him a starting spot, because it will probably be a very good investment on long term.

But unfortunately, it is not possible anymore. Every point is vital and we already have like 4 class central defenders ahead of him. If we are to loan him out, i hope we do a kind of deal that Barcelona did with another team when they loaned 'Xisco' to them. They made an requirement in the contract that he HAD to play some amount of matches.

Andreolli wont even get a place in the weekly squad if Chivu signs for us.
One more reason to hate Chivu :(

Totally agree! Why in the heck` you people (Suneet & co.) think he should stay? We need mature players... we are not Ajax to promote young players in important matches! Andreolli has great potential, but that's a long way to being a world-class defender ! He still needs to develop! To learn about positioning and not falling for forwards' tricks! He needs EXPERIENCE! He needs to prove himself in Serie A! That's why he needs to PLAY - and he has no chance at INTER ! I barely see Samuel playing !! (cost us 16 mil. euro) !!! Andreolli ~ 1 serie A game and 3 Coppa Italia games/season are nothing...

so stop cryin` and let him PROVE himself if he is that good !

LOAN or CO-OWN him out... and when time comes he will be back ;) IF HE DESERVES IT.

Inter net ‘Tyson’ Rivas

Inter have pulled no punches in strengthening their defence by swooping for Nelson ‘Tyson’ Rivas of River Plate.

The 24-year-old, who physically resembles former heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson, is understood to be on the verge of a Nerazzurri switch.

Nelson Enrique Rivas López should land in Milan on Monday to undergo his medical – even if there may be a delay in grabbing his signature.

Inter are in fact firstly waiting to get a response from Juan Veron after they offered the midfielder the chance of a sensational return.

As Inter can only register one more non-EU player, Rivas would immediately be loaned out by the Nerazzurri to accommodate for the Argentine’s possible return.

Standing at 1.81m tall, Rivas is a tough tackling Colombian centre-back who has impressed for River Plate since he joined them six months ago from Cali.

The stopper, who could team up with compatriot Ivan Cordoba at San Siro next season, was also being monitored by Atalanta and Bologna.

I think inter is keeping Andreolli as a filler for the champs spot, and if this is the case, they won't let Andreolli go out as a loan, especially when we have sold Grosso.

He is not the best young defender of the world, but it's the best young Italian defender :)

He was a disaster in Italian U21. I saw more potential in Bonucci, but it may have been one time thing.

So what will your defensive line-up look like next season?

He is a talent and a club like ours needs to have 1-2 players who have worked their way up from the youth teams. At his age he doesnt expect to start, otherwise he woudnt have been here this season. He needs time and we dont need to spend 15m on a player who we are buying from our rivals.

It makes me feel as a Real Madrid fan. :( Its all about giving him chances. Where will he learn defending better, by training with guys like Matrix and Samuel or playing for a team fighting to survive relegation? You decide!

If we keep buying only proven players, we will end up with a team of all stars and in few years IN big financial trouble. He will get his chances and its upto him to prove himself.

He can start for most Serie A teams but if he prefers to play at Inter, why send him out and risk him?

thats not saying a lot

the reason defense is above average in italy is through tactics and culture, not through individual brilliance

Well players like Nesta, Cannavaro, Maldini and Baresi would make that comment very debatable...

wow, thats 4 players out of how many defenders?

that probably amounts to being <0.1% of players ever being that good

plus, those players are made to look good by tactics employed

shove nesta in the saudi arabian NT and whilst you would expect a reduction in goals conceded, you cant expect them to become defensive powerhouses overnight
