I hope will play 4-4-2. I think is the most complete tactic so we dont need any new striker.

Striker question is interesting. If we assume Balotelli stays, what do we need then? We have four strikers then, Milito, Eto'o, Balotelli and Pandev. IMO everything depends on the coach we're gonna have next season. And more specifically what kind of formation he intends to use.

If continue with 4-2-3-1, IMO we need one striker. That is because as default we are going to use 3 of 4 our current strikers in the starting XI. Then it's up to coach's preferences, do we need target type of striker or more forward type, who is capable of playing on the wing like Eto'o/Pandev/Balotelli.

With two-striker system we don't need another striker. Then we can use Destro (if he doesn't go on loan) if we are desperately short of strikers.

Agree 100%!! The biggest question is what is going to be our main formation next season.
Like u mentioned if Balo stays and we play a 442 then there s no need for another striker. If we play 4-2-1-3 then i think we need a new striker, i would prefer to go with a wing forward ala Krasic or j.Cole rather then a classical striker.

There is no complete formation. The formation needs to fit the players you. 4-4-2 doesn't work for this squad of players.

when was the last time 4-2-2 worked for us, i mean seriously we might as well play with no goalkeeper

4-2-2 never :P

But 4-4-2, god knows, we haven't been playing with wingers for sooo long, since first season with Mancini when he played Deki as left wing.. We don't have wingers ATM in our team anyway, only RQ who.. Well, we know :)

I think its safe to say that Samu has adapted his game over the last 2 seasons. Guardiola chose to play him wide right in the important games and we can see that Jose followed suit. I think it will make sense to buy 2 new attackers if we continue with this formation and get rid of Queresma.

With Pandev, Eto'o and Balotelli i think we need 1 more wing forward (i hear Higuain is available ;) ) or possibly keep Arnautovic if they think he is any good. Personally, i haven't seen enough to pass judgement but he looks like he has potential.

And then we need a young striker. Either we bring Destro into the senior squad to learn directly from Milito or we search high and low for a 20 year old with similar characteristics. I think having a back up out and out striker is essential, whilst i am a massive fan of Eto'o he is not the clinical goal poacher most people think he is, he prefers to play in the wide areas and drop deep so when he plays right upfront, Inter haven't got the best out of him because he is so vital out wide. So backup to Milito will be essential for Serie A, Coppa Italia, Champions League, World Club Cup, Supercoppa and European Super Cup.

Well it will also depend on who our manager is. If we switch coaches there is a chance they won't keep the same formation we will, we need to take into account that the new manager might play 2 strikers in which our 4 are enough.

A change of system will mean an overhaul of the squad, immediately Sneijder will be played in another position which will mean we are over crowded in midfield and we won't have enough wide midfielders for either a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2.

Oh well, i only hope that a change of manager means someone intelligent enough to see that this squad needs to play 4-2-3-1 or at worst, 4-1-2-1-2.

IMO we are fine with the stock we got as long as Mario stays, let's not forget he missed a fair chunk of the season through "personal issues" and also Pandev only arrived in January. Otherwise I'm sure Samu/Diego probably would been rotated more frequently.

If we really do need a 5th forward I wouldn't mind promoting Destro or Napoli.

Arnautovic is only on loan. Unlikely to be renewed. Personally even if he goes I don't see th need for another striker but we will see what the management thinks.

Cavani is in the Mourinho mould. I rate him, however if we dont have Mourinho, Cavani is a risk.

No to Cavani.
Romanian newspapers said that in Mourinho's transfer list for Real are Maicon, Milito and Kolarov. If is true, that's not good for us.

Milito's definitely not going anywhere. He just said a couple of days ago he wanted to retire at Inter. Maicon would be a blow though, even more so then Ibrahimovic.

Inter will not sell milito. Maicon is a slight possibility but I seriously doudt it. It just normal for rumors to start with inter and chelsea players when mou goes to real.

In other news Biabany is expected to stay at parma.
