Azzkikr wants big names who can sell shirts, like shevchenko, ronaldinho, henry, beckham..... i guess thats what he mean, we don't have that kind of superstars to sell jerseys.

I made a point about the quality of his arguments, the meaning of my post was not to bash him as a person. Sorry for picking that idiot thing as my example, I guess that was not a nice thing to do. :)

if we would sell adriano we should try to buy david villa or morientes, we should loan him to like valencia or athelico , and loan morientes.

Im sure Adriano sold most shirts in world when he had his moments. And im sure Ibrahimovic sells enough aswell.

Football is about winning, not selling shirts.

inter_milan_1993 can you please put it all into 1 post rather than 5 posts with small sentences?

I really can't see why our starting line up (what is our starting line up anyway?) should be notably strengthened. Our starters showed time and time again last year that they were good enough to beat everyone. Like many others have said, the back-ups and alternatives are the areas that need to be improved (with Suazo and maybe Chivu and Kovac). We would've beaten Valencia easily if we had had Vieira and Cuchu available, but we lost because we didn't have decent back-ups. Burdisso is by no means a replacement for these players. he's a solution when in crisis, which was what we were (many w's:p) in. Had we had a player like Kovac, a player playing in his favorable position, we maybe would've won at Mestalla.

I repeat, the best purchases aren't necessarily the best players. Look at small teams doing well in Serie A recent years. It's was a team's effort, not one star's.

I strongly disagree that Suazo was bought without any real intention. I watched alot of Cagliari last season, and he was immense. I have rarely seen one player be so dangerous basically alone. Other than him, Cagliari was horrible all season. Some of you might think he is one of those players who only succeeds in a small team; i think that assumption can't be based on anything, heck, it's just a guess. I even think he will be a starter alongside Zlatan - I might even put some money for him to be the top goalscorer in Serie A next season, depending on odds ofcourse. It might be that I have evaluated him too highly, we'll see.

Another thing that speaks for him is the fact that he seems to be very good against big teams. He is not the kind of player who scores hat-tricks against lesser defenses and who just can't seem to do anything against better ones.

Adri eyes goals galore
Wednesday 11 July, 2007
Inter striker Adriano hopes to take his scoring back into double figures next season at the San Siro. “I want to return to being the Emperor.”

The Brazilian joined his teammates for pre-season training at their camp in Sardinia and makes no secret of the fact that he wants to make up for the last season’s disappointment.

“I feel well, I want to return to being the Emperor and to do this I need to work hard,” said Adriano.

“For the first time in four years I took some holiday, now I am ready to work and regain everyone’s trust,” added the 25-year-old.

“I don’t want to make any promises before the start of the championship, but I hope to make double figures next year, I really need it.”

Adriano was a reported target for Real Madrid and was also paired with city rivals Milan, but the player insists that the Nerazzurri are the only club he wants to play for.

“Milan and Real Madrid’s interest make me proud, but this is my second home after Brazil and I want to stay here for a long time,” he explained.

“I am happy when I am here and President Massimo Moratti holds me in high esteem. I had some bad moments in the past, but Inter have always stood by me,” ended Adriano.

Hope he will get the double figures !!!
Very Happy that he is more and more close to staying with us

We strengthened our team's back up which was our problem last season in the CL imo. Because I think we lost against Valencia due to having our 2 key midfielders out injured. Now we're going to have more options and I think that is strengthening. And btw and I mentioned Milan because people were saying we can't attract players like Milan can which is BS to me.

Ok we all know why we lost against Valencia : - key mids out, Zlatan's misses (!!!) - and we can also blame bad luck - they scored lucky goals and we didn't score (enough)...

BUT my friends, MY QUESTION is :
Is our objective to beat Valencia (almost a joke in La Liga) or to WIN UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ?! ;)

It's not like we don't have a solid record breaking team... but we won't play against Messina in the CL ! I am only worried about our creativity... we seem predictable... compared to Barcelona, ac milan, Man Utd, Chelsea or Liverpool !! Those are the teams to beat! Think about their last season SQUAD + their signings ! :rules:

well... Toniu, ac milan had a very good Champions League history in recent years... and we didn't... that's about it! That's what we are trying to change!

In my opinion we have the BEST SQUAD in the last 20 years of INTER's history !! We are BIG, but we need to be HUGE in order to win the UCL.

PS: Forward line is excellent, just find Alvaro "Chino" Recoba a team. :)

I totally agree with you...

With Cambiasso and Vieira we may have beaten Valencia.
But without creativity in midfield we would have been eliminated in the next round by Chelsea.

Come on Dr. Moratti... buy a world class AMC.......

I see it same as you..

The creativity thing is the last puzzle (after Chivu's signing) for us to compete with all the best team in Europe. Not that we are not able to compete with them.. But once we meet the (Valencia & Villareal) situation whereas they are defending their butts out because they have the advantage over us earlier, we might suffer..

we need more creativity to get prepared for such situation.

I agree also that the forward line is good enough to compete with anyone..
If all play to their form.. it would be a headache for mancini.. :D :D

if you have more creativity, you must be more vulnerable at the same time...
you can easily score 2-3 goals against barca (even in CL); or just look at how bilan made fool of mu; or take a look at chelsea-pool matches in CL this year: they both focused on not to allow each other scoring, so they ended up with some 'predictable' , boring 180 minutes, coz they know each other very well, even if both teams have very creative midfield (gerrard - joe cole for example)

but if you put Inter's best recent XI together, there's no team which could stop it... Chuchu and Paddy does all the job, both in defence and attacking

of course, the midfield needs some reinforcements, still my starting 4 is still the same as last season - there's only need for some replacements if Paddy or Chuchu (or Figo...) are injured, tired

Any best team would end up boring 0-0 score line.. or even losing by the score that you cannot think of... Even you have the whole best player aside..

We are giving such idea (improving our creativity) is because we foresee that that is our weakest link in our midfield and that is the place we can improve to compete BETTER in CL.. we are not saying we SURE win.. we are saying it would give us a better chance to fight with all the best team in Europe..

Stan is good.. I really enjoy the way he plays.. If he plays well, i would see him everywhere in the pitch, from clearing Cesar's goal line to scoring a goal..
He is like INTER's Gerard to me..
But i really seldom sees his creativity.. and i think that that is a crucial position in a strong team who fights for CL..

So i really dont mind sacrificing him(rotation) for a (our level of play maker)(Deco, Diego, Riquelme). Who doesn't really matter, Matter most is that who ever comes able to perform for us.

In short..
Of course we would be a contender for CL, with what we have now..
Just that having a good play maker would increase our chances..

Got a feeling he won't last long. ;) He talks about irrelevance, but yet continue to bash other people's opinion as if THAT was relevant. Like anyone gives a crap what he thinks.

:howler: like anyone gives a shit what you think :howler: im being harashed here without relevance what so ever. You should go **** yourself, this is racism to its real belief.

What's your point Azzkikr? You are only insulting opinions of other members but you don't want to come out with your own idea/opinion. If your don't change your attitude soon, close the door on your way out or someone else will do it. ;)

LOL im the one insulting people? Ive been harashed ever since i wrote my first post here. Im not the one not_accepting other peoples opinions here, your other clueless members here are.

Azzkikr you,re right concerning the past 15 years but the past 3 seasons we've made fantastic transfers:

Samuel
Julio Cesar
Figo
Cambiasso
Crespo
Ibra
Vieira
Maxwell

So you can't blame someone for thinking the management knows best.

Sure, cambiasso is way overrated, figo is past his best, samuel isnt getting enough playing time and cesar is inexperienced, so whats your point. I already said last season was an exception.

This forum is without a doubt a more clueless board than xt which i find incredibly since xt is without a shadow of doubt the most retarded and clueless bunch ive ever seen, but you guy surely take first price.
