He is young, energetic. And DM. Do we need DM? or even CM like Muntari. No, if u ask me. Of course, Cambiasso as DM and 2 energetic CMs can be interesting, but i'm not sure.

He is an upgrade on our midfield, he is basically a quick tank and has a little more offensive qualities, but again I dont think he is ready for Serie A, he will have to learn on the job.

Obi Mikel will have no problems in Serie A. But I have really hard time believing Chelsea would let him go just like that. They've offered him a new deal (or said the negotiations will start in the summer) and I'm pretty sure he won't go anywhere.

When it comes to that Cesc rumor, it's just big load of BS. There's little to no chance Cesc coming to Inter. There are just too many blocks to that transfer. A) Moratti not willing to splash B) It's clear Cesc wants to go to Spain. C) The famous European pedegree is a factor here, really.

Last time? I can name Veron. But he was kicked out by Cambiasso. Not exactly best attacker.

veron was over the hill when he came back to italy

nice passing to adriano who wasnt a big name yet, and vieri stole all the double teams off adriano

veron didnt even run at defenders, such as the way that dickhead hector cuper prefered his midfield to be rigid and defensive minded. traded away pirlo and seedorf and missed out on kaka and ronaldinho

id probably go all the way back to lothar matthaus when naming an actual big name playmaker in an inter jersey

Over the hill? I don't think that 28-31 is considered over the hill for DM.

He isnt starting for them. Plus he would want to play under Jose, that might swing it in our favour.:p

Yeah I said it earlier (last page). Inter's chance is that Obi Mikel really wants to play NOW. Mourinho can offer him a starting spot unlike Chelsea. They don't even know who will be their coach next season. But I find it hard to believe Chelsea would let him go for less than what they paid for him. They have the money to let Mikel rot on the bench for two years if he demands a transfer and starts to rebel (and that way trying to force himself out of the club and lowering the price tag).

I still think the bigger possibility is that he'll sign a new deal. Ballack signed only one-year extension, Mikel gets his starting spot after next season if not already during next season.

went to england, got destroyed and came back to italy with his tail between his legs

he was always a stop gap solution

only reason cuper liked him was because veron wouldnt break his "line" in midfield

What Cuper got to do with Veron? Veron came to Inter in the same summer when Mancini came.

What i meant, is that Veron was closest thing to Fabregas. And he failed.

veron then is nothing close to fabregas of today

Closest player by quality and talents that played for Inter.
If you just won't agree with anything that i will say, then let's stop discussion.

Taking Mikel and Fabregas doesn't make any sense.

Maybe we will sell Cambiasso to Manchester City or Muntari to Tottanham.

Muntari-Mikel-Fabregas, looks very good if we will play three man midfield with Ibra-Milito and striker who attacks from depth like Cassano,Quaglarela or Balotelli
Muntari-Cambiasso-Fabregas-Mikel, too slow again but at least some creation is there.

I would accept Fabregas without any problems. When Inter interested for Mourinho most of people said that is dream and that he will sign for Real or Barca but he came to us. I don't see why we can's catch Fabregas.

I hope that Manchester City will splash cash for Cambiasso and that Arsenal will accept some player from us. Mancini and Quaresma are players who Arsen could use, Maxwell could be useful for them too. Who knows?

Even with Veron already done, he was more creative than the current players we have right now.

The fabregas rumour sounds mouth watering!! Anyway i doubt that he ll leave arsenal and i doubt that moratti want s to spend such an amount of cash.

Unlike most members in here i think if Fabregas decides to leave arsenal there is a possibility that he joins us.
If i remember right he once stated, that he won t play for another team in England then arsenal and that he ll only join Barca in spain.
So if he sticks to his words and he want s to leave, we would have a very good opportunity to get him. Since he wont join any EPl team or madrid and at Barca there is simply no room for him.

So this would basically only leave the big seri a clubs as possible destinations . Anyway even if he would stick to he s words, i doubt that he will leave arsenal for Serie a.
