Alright this is more of a question towards the people at this forum and not a romour that has not emerged yet as far Im aware. What if, and as we all know this is a hypothetical question, what if Aresnal offered us Fabregas in exchange for Balotelli during the summer of 2010, would you take it

For my personaly, I actually dont know. We do need Fabregas more at the moment and I would also say for the next 3 years or so, more then Balotelli. And many of us is getting really annoyed by Balotelli and his behaviour. On the other hand I really dislike the thought of selling one of our best youth players in recent time. Im divided...

Fab is over-rated.

Fab wants to go to Barca

He wants to go if Arsenal dont do anything in the CL, honestly we have a better chance than them but that doesnt say much.

Honestly I think it really depends in the summer, if there are Cm's on the market that are worthy of Inter then I say no to Fabregas. what we have seen with balotelli is glimpses of a great future. I say keep Balotelli and find an alternative midfielder.

I'd prefer a player who sees a long term future here, not someone like Fabregas who obviously wants to move to Spain at some point in the future. Someone lie Gourcuff isn't exactly going to want to go play in France when he reaches his prime.

i can't see Fabregas fitting in the team, but if Sneijder did fit i guess Cesc would :D ... but i see Gerrard fitting much better tho :rollani:

I would do it since Fabregas's price tag will be 40-50m€ next summer. Of course with the guarantee that Cesc would be committed to Inter.

What do you think on this: Eto'o + 20 milion euro = Cesc?

I think it worth it and we also don't need to pay Eto'o's wage (15 milion euro bruto) and Cesc will get 9 milion euro bruto.

There is close to 0% chance it will happen. Arsenal can't probably afford half of his wages at Inter. B he is playing good, and Jose loves his work-rate. C Eto'o will not go to Arsenal, a club who is not focused on winning, but developing players.

As for the Cesc - Mario deal, 10 mln + Mario sounds good to me. Add to it Gerrard/Hamsik, Kolarov and we're set for major CL bid next year.

but if Eto'o will leave Inter, it's good for us because we still have a good strikers and we don't need to pay so many money on his wage.

We pay him a lot of money, because he is a world class striker, who showed strong enough mentality to score 2 goals in CL final in crucial moments.

What he have done so far does not justify his salary (not even close), I'm surprised you (of all people here) are trying to defend this, as I feel his salary/worth ratio is undefendable and unreasonable at best, but allright it's maybe just my opinion.

His salary will NEVER be justified, let's just forget about it as there is nothing we can so about it now and hope he succeeds at Inter.

And how do you measure if a salary is justified or if it is not?

I'm not currently saying that Eto'o is worth this money, or not, I'm just curious.

He is the best paid player in our squad and hence he should be the best player in our squad. But he has not shown that he is the best players, yet.

We can only judge his wage relative to the other players in our squad.
