The only problem with buying Gourcuff is that it will mean moving Sneijder to CM. Its like punishing him for opening our eyes for the need of creative midfielders.Sneijder is better at being close to the attackers,i wouldnt fix it if it isnt broken.

Isn't Sneijder's natural position a CM? :rollani:

He plays both, that is why i said he will be the one moving to that position and not Gourcuff.IMHO he plays much better behind the strikers than at CM.I think he even mentioned that in one of his interviews..

Yeah. Sneijder is naturall very offensive and he likes to move forward very much. He's definitely better as AM than CM. Mourinho also doesn't want as small and weak guy as Sneijder to play in CM position. No way.

In Netherlands every team playing 433 and Sneijder was in the "middle 3" in Ajax and also in the NT, so you can say him as CM or AM.

hamsik is overrated..
didn't you know that??

those big clubs are only going on hpye...
his passing and technique is 'average' and all he can do is shoot from long range

kolarov can play 'decent' in 10 positions (not 'great' in any one)....
let's get him instead

:rollani:

Hamsik IS overrated, i give you that.. he may be great player, and young as well, but ain't worth half of what Napoli has valued him... I woul welcome him in Inter, but not for more than 20 mils... :)

As for Kolarov, yes, he can play decent on 10 positions, but can also play great at LB/LWB/LM ;)

Snejider, well, true that his natural position is CM.. In Ajax and in Holland NT he is playing as CM, in Real he was playing as CM as well, just a little more forward, something between Cm and AM... And he was going to the left often. But from what i've seen, yeah he is better as AM than CM... His short passing and his shoots are much more effective when he plays AM.. :)

Technically speaking, if we get Hamsik for 40m, then he has to contribute 2.5 times of what Sneijder is contributing. Is he worth that much? Maybe....but that will be a tall order for him to live upto atleast on this forum, expecially if he takes the AM position from Sneijder ;)

Marouane Felliani is a midfielder playing for Everton. He is a box-to-box MF like Lampard and is pretty young, physical and technical. Already being interested by RM, Chelsea, MU. However he selected Everton, maybe to ensure that he get playing time. Everton is in explosive form lately, beating Chelsea, and MU today.

Why can not this guy be one of our target in the future?

Inter doesn't have enough room for his afro.

JZ.
Next year we need another midfield player beside the addition of Coutinho and I wish that we do not buy one of those average players, we need a starter, someone who is better than the players we have.

I wish we could sign Hamsik, he will be the final brick in the midfield wall, IMO he would be perfect for us, Hamsik can play as CM/AM/DM which will be very useful for us, he is a great box to box player with long range of shooting and passing but what I really like about him is his offensive awareness, he is always right there to shoot/head the ball and score also his height and physical strength will help us especially in defending set pieces.

The only other player I'd chose over Hamsik is DDR but Roma will not sell him to us and if they agreed to sell he will not come.

Javier Zanetti,
from what i have seen...
Marouane Felliani will become a great addition to our midfield..
he got strength in his body, he got a very good ball control in his feet even though he is a tall guy...
he can pass the ball around...
he definitly would be a perfect addition for our CM next season...

I think he won't add anything significant to our midfield atm. Dominant in the air, and good defending, yes. But, he is not that comfortable with the ball, decent passer, and lack of off the ball movement.

Javier Zanetti,
well he first play as an AM in his early days at everton...
he actually once play as a striker at everton...
we rarely see his movement off the ball nowadays because david moyes place him as a DM...
but i would say he is an elegant midfielder... with a good vision.... and he also comfortable when holding the ball...

Everton is an interesting team. They field 4-5 "rather AM" on the midfield and they can get results with it. (Arteta, russian guy, Donovan, etc.)

We played with 3 DM lots of times :)
