Well I don't think it would be our style to snoop in for a player while he's having problems with the club, Moratti is a gentleman and he'll wait for their issues to resolve and then we might make a move for him. Obviously this is just what I think, I don't know if we have some evil plan to poach him off Samp but I don't think we would do something like that.

Something I'm almost sure of is that Moratti never goes for Cassano unless he has no other chance. Obviously he doesn't admire Cassano's character unless he had many chances to sign him in the past. He doesn't tolerate such characters in his team for sure.

Samp have officially asked the league to rescind his contract. The only dispute is who has to pay €1 million in damages. Samp or Cassano. Don't think there's anything wrong talk to him now since he is history at samp.

If the current situation at the club wasnt a complete disaster and if the Scudetto wasnt already lost, then i would agree with you. The the fact is that the club is in disastrous shape and we are having massive goal scoring issues.

It impossible to get a player anywhere near as good as cassano in the winter window and then on top of that it will be for free.

If we are ever going to gamble on Cassano, it will be this winter for sure. Even if it doesnt work out, the loss will be minimal financially and its not like it can possibly get any worse playingwise than it is now anyways.

The downside is that he is CL cuptied though.

I also don't like the character issues, but it's not like we have much choice by now. Plus of it, is that we won't see any of the "idiot" shit. Cassano is supposedly interista. Lets hope he will behave.

I honestly believe it's done. It's simply the most logical solution, and pefrect for both sides. Both sides needs eachother. It's like Ronaldo going to Madrid, everybdoy knew it will happen.

The biggest problem is his deffensive charachteristics, or more importantly his "Aggression/teamwork" on the field. The wingers aren't expected to win the balls. They are expected to close down spaces, and to work on the field. We know Cassano can't do it.

This is my biggest fear. In 4-2-3-1, the wingers simply HAVE to help in deffense. There is just too much space on the wings, and 2 DM's can't cover the whole field. IT would be easier if we would play 4-3-3, then it would be more acceptable, as there is 3 people to cover the whole width, instead of 2, but with Wes here, we can't play any other way.

But like I've said, we don't have much choice at the moment. Maybe we'll go with 4-4-2 Rombo. Eto'o (SC) with Cassano (number 10), Sneijder behind them, covered by Motta - Stankovic, and Cambiasso. It would also help Maicon on the wings, as he would have much space there something he loves.

4-4-2 would be our best formation I believe considering our squad this season + Cassano. We simply lack wingers to play 4-2-3-1. Pandev also is better fit for the center of the field, which is a sub for Cassano basicly as supporting striker of the other 9 (Eto'o/Milito).

4-4-2 in the league (when the injuries are done, and only some few problems remain) and 4-2-3-1 (Milito as the tip with Cassano-Wes-Eto'o behind) in the CL, that would be my suggestion for Rafa.

Oh, one more thing. A big NO to getting rid of Philippe. We need to GET offensive players, not to EXCHANGE them for our offensive players.

I have always wanted Cassano despite his attitude problems and all. Back then (in the last 2-3 seasons), he was not a must for us coz we had Zlatan and co. who were doing great upfront (if not in the midfield) but that has not been the case for us this season. We are basically only trusting on Eto to score or do anything coz he has only been our hope.

I am wondering how we will do in the absence of Eto now. Most importantly, I want him now (more just like very season) is also coz he might be free and it is worth trying a shot. I am pretty sure Cassano will show his magic (with feet-brain on and off the pitch) but I still want us to try it once. Few years later, I don't want to have this in my mind - "I wish Cassano had been signed by Inter and he could have done great for us and may be Inter would have changed him".

The thing is I know he will have his great and worst days for us (if we get him). I will be happy if he does great and I will vent my anger if he does bad but I still want to go for that chance.

Azz and Luk, I meant the same thing. Now Moratti is in a situation that he has no choice but go for Cassano. So it's a very possiblity. If the team was not in sucha desperate need I'm sure even now tht Cassano could come as a free player Moratti was not going to go for him, but I think he just has to let the deal go through now.
