Cassano won't be on the bench, not with superstars like Pandev and Biabiany starting, he will walk into the eleven.

I don't want to jump too much on the Fanatio hype train but this signing could potentially save our season, he has the ability to galavanize the entire club through both the fans and players. Fans love him all over Italy, especially Inter fans, they may actually forget about Rafa and our current situtation for awhile and get behind the team more. Players love to play with him, he brings an energy and excitement that few other players do. And this is all off the field, that's not even taking into account his exceptional skills.

Where does it say in that document that the playoff stage is a part of the group stage? I had a read but couldn't find it anywhere.

thats why we need cassano, cassano him self can drag two defenders...so there will be more room for etoo or sneider to make space...bloody serie a..u guys watch how many defender directly pressing sneider everytime he got ball..and there two or three defender marking etoo

It doesnt, but it clearly says that "players from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd qualifying stages are allowed to join another club and play from the groupstages". If players from the play-offs were eligible as well, they would obviously write it.

It doesn't make a difference.

Nowhere in the rules it says that if a player got eliminated in qualifiers that he can play for another club.
What it says that only if a player got eliminated in the first , second or third round of the qualifications then he can play for an other club.
If playoff is part of the qualifiers or CL doesn't matter. The playoff is after the third round so Cassano is cuptied.
The rules are crystal clear, everyone can read it.

People like me tend to think that the playoff is part of the CL cause it is the only round of the qualifiers where the CL anthem is played and all stadions has to be equipped with the official CL advertisements. It is the first round with the CL feeling.

But if the reason we don't buy Cassano would be that he is cuptied it would be one holy silly thing. I couldn't care less just buy him.

Exactly. We struggle already in Serie A so Cassano would be an instant impact. Also it's not like there are other qualified options out there who can help us in CL. And there is guaranteed no one as good as Cassano out there. If Cassano is out there (contract gets terminated).

Most of his problems back to family issue. His family are in Argentina. Kinda the same thing as Mascherano's story. And that plays a huge part in his crackdowns once in some months. Moving to Italy or Spain will be the right move for him as there are more cultural similarities in these countries and his homeland Argentina. So his family can move and live with him. I really dunno why he's so fucking stuck to England for his entire europian career.

Many other teams can offer him enough money too from Spain and Italy. I think if this januray or next summer an offer comes for him from Italy or Spain he will consider it seriously cause he seems really fed up now.

Not from Italy, no Italy club would be able to match his wages at City.

Even for Barca it would be probablematic tbh, without getting rid of a high profile player.
