Because these 50 % sales are allowed only between Italian clubs.

+Alvarez+keeping Wes

+ Alvarez...

Keeping wes? Lmao. I see you've been fooled by management then. Management put Wes on the trading block (player did not want to leave), so I don't see how Wes not being traded is a positive.

If anything, the fact that we wanted to trade Wes makes our declaration that "midfield is a priority" even more ridiculous :palm:

Yeah, if you are Bologna or something maybe! But this is Inter, damn it! If Inter isn't going to build a new stadium then at the very least the Milan city council has to start relaying the pitch TWICE AS OFTEN as they do currently! I am tired of seeing Inter play on a BS surface!

Here's to hoping we snap up a French up and comer, Moussa Sissoko, Eden Hazard, in the last few weeks of summer. Hey, we can dream, can't we?

Lets add Lucio-Milito to that. And if things go worse, add Muntari-Rivas-Pandev.

I don't know where you get your information, but according to media reports, he was very open for a move to ManU. I have no other sources, so...

i think nerazzurri4life is being sarcastic

it was obvious he was open for a move. if players don't want to go they say "i don't want to leave". and he wasn't saying that, just the "i'm an inter platxer at the moment" bs

Are you guys serious? really?

Wes said that he was told by Inter management that if an offer comes, they will sell him. THAT is what he said. That is not a player who WANTS to move. That is a player who accepts the reality that he is considered dispensable and is on the market for sale. Inter management also confirmed, in SEVERAL media outlets, that Wes is on the market.

A player saying he is open to a move since he's on the trading block is not the same as a player who is demanding a move when he's not on the trading block (see Cesc, Nasri, Tevez e.t.c.)

How the fuck can it be considered a "win" when you put a player up for sale but he is not sold? :palm:

SE SALTELLI....
wait................

since when did wes want to leave us?

how does "god only knows where i will be" and "the management has told me that if a good offer comes then they will take it" reitterate into YES I WANT TO LEAVE?

we should be thankful that wes hasnt dropped our asses and handed in a request to be transfer listed....he has acted with great dignity so far, and for that i applaud him! he could have really fucked us over big time, but he didnt.

no one knows for sure. it might have been 50/50 him and management. might have been more the management, or maybe even more of wes' idea. you don't know. clubs aren't open and honest about these sorts of things

it might have been as simple as wes being asked "manchester are interested, if we get a fee we agree on would you be open for a move to manchester?" and him agreeing. that certainly isn't managment pushing him out of the door. he could still say the "inter need money" thing to the press after

my 10 pence worth

From what i read (don't think there is such a thing as reputable source btw) Wes was open to a move but didn't want to upset the fans. Clearly it has worked as N4L still has faith in him. Football is football and Wes is a player who is well aware that 1 day you are a star and the next day you will be sold, after all, he admits openly that he didn't want to leave Madrid but he did. By the same token, i have read that he doesn't want to leave Milan but he would.

The club needs/wants money and in real terms, our squad has few players with re-sale value, realistically, only Sneijder, Maicon, Eto'o and Julio Cesar have a real value and all have been subject to some form of interest. The management fiasco at the start of the summer clearly unsettled some of the players so it is no surprise that Wes + Eto'o considered other options and when concrete offers are made it is only natural that they will consider them. On the plus side, none of the players have behaved like Nasri or Fabregas so ii'm happy for them to stay because they are great players and seem to be good men.

exactly. it's easier and better for the club to take more of the blame than an individual (wes) for his move

and i know the quotes N4L, they don't change what i said at all to be honest. players who don't want to leave us simply stay, hence muntari, suazo, pandev and all those guys staying because they refuse moves. and i don't think wes is some angel accepting a move for the good of inter. he wouldn't have gone to psg for example. he was most likely very keen on man u and gladly accepted. he wouldn't move his wife and stuff just because inter put him on the market because of ffp. although i'm not saying you've ever implied he had zero interest in man u at all

Yeah, when he said "player did not want to leave", one can understand it in two ways. That what he wants is to not leave or that he doesn't actively want to leave, but wouldn't mind it. It seems N4L meant that Wes didn't especially want to leave. Just a misunderstanding on my part, then.

If Wes really wanted to leave he would have. Inter accepted Man United offer but Wes wouldn't make the same amount of cash at Man United. Either he is a mercenary because he cares more about money or just didn't want to go.

How do we know that Inter accepted the offer, when everyone was saying otherwise?
