33 games for BAYERN MÜNCHEN and training under Felix Magath (who's known for drilling his players) is not?

I did not mention Bayern. You said

he has gained valuable experience playing at Bayern München & Schalke 04

I fail to see how 1 game at Schalke is a valuable experience.

if you ask me playing champions league against Inter would be the most valuable thing to me (and that's what Ali Karimi did last season), I think we have different opinions on how to define the word valuable

Yes those 2 minutes at the end of an already decided match were very impressive. Amazingly, UEFA overlooked him for their CL Team of the Season.

He was subbed to play the last few minutes. If you call that valuable then what about all the other players from Schalke who actually played 90min against us? What about all the players at Lille, Marseille and CSKA Moscow who played against us, do they qualify as valuable transfers too?

Branca...beurk
According to iranian newspapers, Inter is interested in signing Ali Karimi whose contract will expire this summer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_Karimi
(source: http://www.persianfootball.com/forums/showthread.php?101687-Ali-Karimi-to-Inter-lol!)

Although he is 33, it would be a good signing for Inter if you ask me:
- he's the best player Iran has produced in the last 50yrs & and is currently the most capped player on international level
- he has gained valuable experience playing at Bayern München & Schalke 04
- the most important part: he won't cost Inter a penny + he will only ask for a low wage since he's already a millionaire and would probably earn more playing in arab states

+ I think Inter's offensive midfield can use an experienced backup since Alvarez is on a good way but needs at least another season to adapt
My dear lovely Buddha, this is the worst news i've ever heard this week (if this is true). BRANCA, STOP MAKING INTER A CARE-HOUSE

Oh I'm sorry guys, I forgot that we already signed Hazard, Neymar, Sahin and Paulo Henrique

Srsly tho some of you need to come off that high horse...Do you really think Branca will start bidding for players that Man City or Real are interested in?
With Sneijder leaving next season, just take a look at our offensive midfielders: Ricky Alvarez, Castagnios, Coutinho?, Zarate? Ali Karimi would be a great backup for those!!

Another phenomenal post. You live up to your reputation, making your posts worthy of your username.

I don't know what Branca has in mind as Branca himself surely has no idea what he's doing.
But just because we probably can't afford someone expensive doesn't mean we should go for players nobody wants. Nobody except you, that is.

And people said I was suggesting mediocre players!! Ali Karimi doesn't even deserve to be in Serie A, never mind Inter. Maybe he can go play for Novara or something. I can name lots of better AM backups than this guy we can get on free transfers! Ederson, Andrea Cossu, Otman Bakkal, Mateo Kovacic (who might actually be worth a serious look from what I've heard, I haven't seen him play but heard good things from elsewhere). This is a ridiculous suggestion based purely on nationality. You don't see me posting Scottish players in these threads do you? No, because none of them are good enough to play for Inter! OK, with the sole exception of James Forrest, he might actually go somewhere, but aside from that, no-one.

do you think we're so shit that we need fucking karimi? A guy who hasnt played at a high level since 2007? Who had 2 substitute appearances for Schalke a season ago?

You must really think lowly of Inter.

The nationalism on these forums is insane. Would you rather Inter suck for the next 10 years but have players from your country on it, or actually have a competitive squad?

A few days ago I thought the idea of Sanchez for 20 million was ridiculous.

Now after reading Karimi's rumor...

The main position our squad is lacking in is Deep lying playmaker. It's the reason Deki is an automatic first teamer when fit. I'd rather us skip Isla and bring back Jonathan if it means we put the 15m towards someone who will bench Stankovic. Sahin may or may no be realistic but that's definitely the first place I'd look. Second would be Banega who we might be able to get on the cheap after his serious injuries. Although I would take him on a loan as we don't know how he'll recover. Marco Verratti should also be someone we look at, but he won't start over Deki and it looks like Juve's already wrapped him up. I know Cristeg played as part of the 2 in the primavera's 4-2-3-1, but is he really a playmaker? We also need to start looking for a Cambiasso replacement at DM but perhaps Duncan can start to get minutes next year.

The midfield might not get too much attention over the summer. We have a good number of young players who showed that they could do well. With money being a very limited resource I think the priority should be defense, then attack, then midfield.

Really don't follow Iranian players, but Nekounam looks better to me. In my superficial understanding, Karimi's prime was around 2005, and didn't leave much impact to at least any Europe league, right?

I really feel we could explore other young prospects outside South America... specially outside Brazil and Argentina
