Either of them, Jonathan or VDW, are only good enough to be back ups at Inter. We need a starting wing back. So no thanks for VDW, I rather wait till we have money to afford a proper RWB.

We have enough squad players. Inter should now only spend money for a first team level players, or not at all. Last thing we should do now is to increase our wage bill again by signing some more average players.

Rival??? I mean maybe for Europa league Lazio and Roma are our rivals but they aren't really teams wanting or expecting to be Champions. We give them a decent offer and we can buy him. Lazio is worse than Udinese I am pretty sure they will sell if the price is right.

Radu would be an interesting purchase; he's quite a versatile player, able to play LB and CB, and has similar characteristics to Chivu (when he was in his prime). However, unless we're considering him for the LWB position, it would be unwise to spend on him, given that he's a ball playing defender with a deadly shot, and would take the place of Juan Jesus in the lineup.

But I don't know where he'd fit in atm. It would be better to spend on areas that require immediate requirement atm, like a CDM to replace Cambiasso and a RWB.

Well we're not even linked to him; I was just responding to another poster's inquiry on Radu.

And btw Chivu in his prime was quite the defender; shame he couldn't fully replicate his Roma form here at Inter.

Plus positionally speaking Radu would be a wasteful purchase who doesn't fit in with Mazzarri's tactics. So I'll pass.

Chivu was beast defender till that head injury. Who claims otherwise knows shit about football.

Radu would be ok with LCB where we have Juan, but can't play in any other position, so useless purchase, as pencipal said.

The season before triplete and getting moved aside by Lucio, he was good, especially at CB.

Chivu did used to be a good defender. I remember him having a great game vs. Barca, including a boss tackle on Messi, I think. Unfortunately, that was the season of the injury, and good games from him after that were far and few.

Chivu has had good moments. Especially when he first came over from Roma. Unfortunately it's been offset by many bone-headed moments over the years.

Only memory of Chivu is a blooper. Only mention of Chivu ever on rumor sites is his agent saying he wants more money or he wants a golden handshake. It's been fing 3 years and that is all Chivu does. I don't care what he did at Roma or who he was at Roma but he was shit here and isn't doing anything but making us a broke team. When ever he is about to get cut he gets "injured" just like Stank did for 2 seasons. People keep mentioning previous seasons but I remember him always being a LB or a sub at CB. Samuel, Lucio, Cordoba, Matrix, Chivu seemed to be the order.
