Schweinsteiger used to be one of my all-time favourite players, and probably my favourite player that never played for Inter. I don't even care if he's past his prime lol, I'll go out and buy an Inter shirt with his name on it the day we sign him (if we do).

Depends what you need. Yaya was much better physical, attacking, faster, better one on one while Bastian was midlefielder General ala Matheus. Nothing spectacular but irreplaceable.

Schweinsteiger was better tactically, better work rate, can control the game much better. Yaya was found out in midfield whenever played in CL. Opposition midfielders had lot of space to operate.

Yaya is a better attacking midfielder than CM. He lacks defensive discipline.

Yaya was better at scoring and creating too and from what I've seen, Bayern have replaced Bastian just fine.

I dont think Yaya was found out back then he was at Barca, it was more like Man City as a whole got found out.
