Forum Supporter10 years of FIFUSA avoided embarrassment unlike 2011.. granted Nippon needed that title that year with all that happened. They killed it, but even as an American I'm not truly 100% happy... Hope Solo's story has been swept under the rug. Just relieved she isn't the main reason they won.

10 years of FIFDude Vidal is an asshole who could have killed people in a car crash in a car he bought a week before. He had "special permission" to leave his teams training camp to spend time with his wife and he does that shit during a Cup!! In his own Fing country!!
Not defending Solo but there are worse examples. She was just in a family dispute with her sister where they were both shit faced.

I actually feel bad for the women team tho. They said that most the players on the NTs only make 15k if they are in a league but most are moms and wives. haha I remember a few of my friends got offered development MLS contracts and it was semolina like 15-20k. They also got offers from JP morgan and Bank of America for 60k haha.... its like sorry maybe if playing in the MLS got you tons of pussy it would be worth it

FIF Special OnesSurely the pay difference between men's and women's football is proportional to the amount of revenue in the sport. I saw some tweet complaining about winner's prize money. No shit.

FIF Special Ones10 years of FIFIt highlights everything I love about football. I am rail thin. 6'5", 160lb. All my life I've been looking to get things done with what I have: brains, not brawn. Football is all about that. Yes, brawn is helpful... but you must have brains to be a good player. Look at Pirlo. He is a creative genius who is not strong (comparatively) to someone like Guarin or ANY NFL player. He doesn't need to be. He needs enough muscle in his legs to kick the ball where he sees it going in his head, that is it.
This is especially exemplified in women's soccer. Women are biologically less strong than men, known fact. Yet game after game I see the US team improving tactically, to the point where I can forget I'm watching a women's sport. Yes, they're slowly. Yes, they can't jump as high. But that's not why I watch. I watch for the beautiful game. The US team has some of the most crisp and precise passing I've seen. It's great. I'm hoping that as time goes on, the sport will grow in all aspects (men and women) to where the world cup could be ANYONE's every year. That is the sport I love to watch.

Her and her family got drunk. She punched them. It's stupid. She shouldn't have done it... still love her though. Best woman GK of all time, in my opinion. That does not excuse her actions but it was a familial altercation involving alcohol... could be a lot worse.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFDomestic violence. Something no one should treat lightly. As said, it was so quiet that the average person has no idea what it was. Media just talked about it once and swept it under the rug. It was her nephew she punched, not her sister.
The thing I find shady is that several male athletes who do this would face consequences/suspensions even during the investigation time, but Solo just got away with it and even with her club team she was allowed to play. Apparently a woman is allowed to do that stuff but a guy can't. Double standard.
I'm wondering.. where's Blackmore? He would've laughed hard at USA and posted here like shit if they lost knowing his agenda on some countries.
