No tbh,our df isn't that bad it's because of the lack of attacking organization that the mf and df suffer
There is no organization

I think the midfield is why our defence sucks tbh, good on us for focusing there, I mean we had Kondogbia, Brozovic, Medel, Melo and Gnoukouri (pfft) for most of last season. Let's face it might as well not count Goku as he basically never played. How a team can have only 4 midfielders baffled me, I don't think that's seen anywhere.

^^^also what he said

I genuinely thought it was the midfield and fullbacks that held us back. Too few creative midfielders, along with no wide options in attack from fullbacks when wide attackers cut in.

The most important thing in modern football is controlling the midfield. Our double pivot is still a big question mark for me. l still think we need a regista like Biglia. We also can get the best out of Kondo with creative players and good passers around him.

The another question mark is our wing backs quality. Caner's defensive ability was weak even for Turkish league, let alone Serie A. His game depends on tecnique and crossing. Ansaldi's game depends on dribbling and crossing. They can make good contribution in attack however, their defensive ability is a question mark for me.

We had better to sell İcardi and Brozo to improve our weak points.

Only Inter fans can underrate their players like this. While the rest of the world is like 'oh he is a great young striker, here is 50 mil for him', Inter fans are like 'yeah he scored a bunch of goals in the past 3 seasons and has the best conversion rate in the league but he can't dribble past 3 or 4 players so he is shit'.

CM: Lindelöf an idea if Murillo leaves

According to Calciomercato, Inter would consider a move for Benfica defender Victor Lindelöf should Jeison Murillo depart this summer. The 22-year-old enjoyed a fine breakthrough season in 2015/16, playing a vital role in securing Benfica’s third consecutive Liga NOS title. Inter are not the only Italian club to register an interest in the Swedish international, as both Roma and Juventus have previously been linked. Meanwhile there is also strong interest from England in the shape of Manchester United and Chelsea.

I was hoping the rumors of us selling Murillo were ending, seems like an awful idea to sell him after only one season in Serie A, even if we sign Lindelöf to replace him. Give him another year in the team, in the league with Miranda to build on their chemistry and his familiarity with Serie A. He's only 24, if they really want to make a profit off of him, give him another year to take the next step and really vault himself into a big money transfer. But I hope they just keep him as a defensive building block and try to build around the spine of him, hando, k-dog and icardi and make him one of the faces of Inter for years.

This. I mean, yeah we need a midfielder. But if we sell Murillo to finance midfield transfer, well then we need a CB. And a clear cut starting CB. So what's the fucking purpose for selling Murillo? I think in the end we won't sell him. Like you said, if we really wanna make money out of Murillo for other transfers, we gotta grow his value. His value isn't sky high yet.

What if we have already brought in the replacement for Murillo? According to whoscored, Ansaldi played 10 matches as center defender last season.

I agree, I just don't see the logic. Maybe if he was unhappy at Inter and a distraction in the locker room, or if a really big offer like Icardi's was made, but I can't remember him ever causing any problems, and I haven't seen any rumors of Man U., Real Madrid, Bayern, etc. trying to outbid each other for him and raising his price sky high. Sure we'd make some money off of him considering we bought low last year, but it feels like we wouldn't be selling high, but somewhere in the middle. Has there been any reports of how much another club would be willing to offer for him? I'm just grasping at some logic here, we have obvious needs, let's fix those instead of creating a new one. We should allow as much continuity as we can from players who have shown potential, which Murillo has. We don't want to field a team with new starters everywhere, especially as we're getting very close to the start of the season.

That would make him great cover in case of an injury or fixture congestion/rest, not a full time solution. If he were to replace Murillo we'd be weaker in two spots, center and fullback.

In a 3-4-3. When he played as a RCB he would act as a RB and drift away from the other two centre backs.

I remember reports earlier on that Mancini was experimenting with 3 in the back

Reports told that Ranocchia will stay, Sass dont want him anymore so moderators can close that thread ;)

We will sell only Santon (if that is possible) and Dodo who is very close to Samp but Iam sure that INCOME in defence will not happen!

RB/LB: Erkin, Ansaldi, Nagatomo, Dambrosio (LWB - Perisic and RWB - Candreva)
CB: Murillo, Miranda, Ranocchia, Andreolli, (Dambrosio, Medel)

its enough!
