you can't compare Petagna to Giroud. Yep, theoretically they both are target men with ability to win the headers and play back to the goal. But in practice, Petagna doesn't have skills for Inter team. He is too slow, too heavy and doesn't offer much in link-up play, because he usually plays like the last striker, so he just waits in the opponent's box for the ball. He is too lazy to go back and help the team with distributing ball.
I really hope we won't buy Petagna.

Seriously, we have 4 forwards already and Petagna will not provide extra thrust should he come here. Did anyone watch him play when we played SPAL ? Giroud may be a good Lukaku back-up, it depends on the contract parameters and transfer fee. I would rather leave Petagna at SPAL to further develop, too soon.

Inter-Napoli, ongoing talks on Llorente-Politano swap: the situation

With the January window around the corner, Napoli and Inter are in talks regarding a potential swap. Fernando Llorente would join the nerazzurri with Matteo Politano joining the partenopei both on loan until the end of the season, the players would address pressing needs on the teams' respective squads.

The conversations between the clubs are on going but the final agreement has yet to be reached, in the meantime both Conte and Gattuso have given their approval for the potential swap. The parties will continue to work and are ready to involve even more the players' agents.

Politano is also a transfer target for Fiorentina who would like to acquire him on a permanent basis, the former Sassuolo winger had previously been close to joining Napoli in January of 2018.

Yeah cause taking a forward on loan stops us buying a midfielder. If you thought about it for more than a minute youd realise this means free depth at striker so we can allot more of the budget to a midfielder

There are indeed some rumours about Aranguiz but for the summer. I don't mind signing Aranguiz on a free next summer as long as we also sign a top midfielder. He could be a useful squad player.
