I don't understand how Roma could afford Cavani even if he took 50% wage reduction. Unless they indeed sell Dzeko.

Lol sell Dzeko to us? Why don’t we take Cavani instead  rumour is quite ridiculous simply because it places Roma in a position of financial power.

I'm a big fan of Lukaku, but If Dzeko was really going to join us... Man, I think Lukaku would be the backup. Just watch his goals against Sampdoria. The man is oozing class.

Dzeko would be excellent for next season. He could be available if Roma fails to qualify for CL, perfect back up.

Apparently I'm nearly the only one to see it totally different. I wouldn't even want Dzeko as a backup for Big Rom. Dzeko is too old, too slow, too expensive.

That ship has sailed. Dzeko could join Inter last summer, but he chose Roma and extended his contract. He is 34 years old right now, it doesn't have sense to invest in him.

Exactly, no point in going for Dzeko now as good as he may be.

time for the inevitable messi rumours again

"Lionel Messi will leave Barcelona when his contract expires at the end of 2020-21, according to Cadena SER.

Barca captain Messi – previously linked to Inter and Manchester City – has reportedly been in talks over a new two-year deal at Camp Nou.

However, the six-time Ballon d'Or winner and Barca's all-time leading scorer is reportedly tired of being blamed for issues at the club, with the LaLiga champions set to be dethroned by Real Madrid"

Welcome Lionel!

Don't send Lautaro to Barcelona, bring Messi to Inter.

wages are impossible basically

Practically, even if we were to assume the wages weren't an issue and messi was keen in Inter, I'd assume PSG or City would still be preferable. I dont know what he's been like this season but if he does stand to lose some of his pace, serie A would be a great few years swansong thougg.

Let’s get volvo to pay his wages just like fiat is with Ronaldo :trollol:

Cafe is right though, doubt we would have issues finding some sponsors to handle his contract.

The transfer though would be a biggie for me...

Martinez + 40 million :fuckyea:

Candreva is getting old, it will be good to have some back ups next season like Hakimi and Messi :work:

Terrified by the circus if we sign messi. Let's go the local fair route and get griezmann. Take Lautaro and I'm happy.

No. The only opening for Messi is that he walks away from Barca for free. That's the rumor they are talking about now. He hasn't extended and the contract ends next summer. Of course the most probable scenario is that he extends the contract while Barcelona management can figure themselves out and stop being such idiots.

But IF there comes the opening that Messi decides to walk away, then we should absolutely be there.

It's next summer.

So there's a very good chance the elections revolve around the Messi issue. How the club is built from that point and how Messi fits in to that strategy. Messi can of course tender out himself to the candidates.

And I have to emphasize I'm not masturbating here and waiting for Messi to sign with Inter next summer. I see it's being like very minimal chance to happen, I'm just saying if opening arrives, we should be ready.

I'm really happy to know you arent sat behind the keyboard masturbating while typing.

Yeah, I suspect there's a good chance the next Barca elections revolve around Messi. The potential challenge is that last time, it was demonstrably after 1st July
