maybe it was just click-baiting, but according to gazzetta.it Suning is seriously considering launching "a long assault on Messi" (to put it in their words).
The catalan sport.es reports about it with a short article in english:
"Gazzetta: Lionel Messi could joiin Inter Milan for the 2021/22 season
The famous 'Gazzetta dello Sport' claim Leo is ready for a new challenge but the player's entourage have dismissed these reports
On Thursday night, RAI claimed that Jorge Messi, father and agent to his son Leo, will be moving to Milan in August. And to go one further, it was claimed that Jorge was negotiating a deal with Inter Milan for Leo ahead of the 2021/22 season.
On Friday, 'Gazzetta dello Sport' have gone even further and claim Jorge has already found a house in the Porta Nova region.
The link with Inter isn't new and it's well known that Massimo Moratti, the club's president, has been keen to bring Leo to Italy".

10 years of FIFGdS has no source in that story, I'm 100% sure of it, it's completely their speculation. Not an unfounded one because there are surely opportunity there, but speculation nevertheless.
There were also speculation about kit provider battle between Nike and Adidas for Inter. Messi and Adidas would fit well together given the with the player and Argentina NT.

Obviously we would need help from our owner and bigger sponsorship contracts which could be totally doable if we're like "hey, we'll sign Messi, so maybe we should make business with you?". And maybe we would have to change from Nike to Adidas to make it happen. Adidas could provide us a lot bigger contract than we could get without Messi from Nike/Adidas/Puma, since there would be synergies with Adidas being Messi's personal sponsor.
If Messi is open to it and Suning is willing to do it, it would be possible. Of course the biggest obstacle is if Messi ever wants to leave Barcelona to play for other club in Europe.
