I am not that convinced Chiesa would be great move, especially as he is going to be very expensive.
Tonali and Nandez would be great additions to this midfield, if Eriksen lives up to the expectations
Tonali, Nandez, Barella, Sensi, Brozovic, Eriksen would be amazing, Nandez could even play wing back for Conte.

Obviously I would love to see Tonali here, he has been in my transfer wishlist since his Serie B days. He will become a great player, ands having someone like him will reduce our complete dependence on Brozovic. If we can afford it, lets get him. Tonali & Vidal to replace Valero & Vecino, and we are all set in the midfield.

I also wanted to see Chiesa at Inter, but its very unlikely now. Chiesa is too expensive for a RWB, and I doubt he has any interest in playing that position. And Chiesa scores way too little to be considered for Lautaro's role. Chiesa is RW now, and we don't play that position anymore.

I just read(although from tutorship) that Inter is putting Szoboszlai on the back burner. Big mistake this kid is destined to be special

Imagine us getting Tonali and Conte switching to 4-3-1-2

Lukaku-Lautaro
Eriksen
Brozovic-Tonali-Barella
x-De Vrij-Skriniar-x
Handanovic

I seen reports yesterday saying tonali is better suited as a mezzela? I've never really seen him, any opinions on that?

Brescia want Esposito on loan in a deal for Tonali. No brainer here. I still think we are in on Szoboszlai contrary to reports.

Not true but he prefers that.

Pirlo was just like that and so was Albertini who was pretty much the benchmark for the Pirlo role. These are young kids with immense talent, they want to play closer to the goal so that they can score more.

If we get chiesa, it means were likely transitioning to a 343. I would hope anyway, since WBs arent exactly plenty, and none of them are actually good.

That would still mean that we'll be using WBs.

I hope we’re still going to sign him the kid has the chance to be a faster and a bit more offensive SMS

How so? I would think wide forwards take on the responsibility of attacking and our current midfield would cover the open spaces. Having wingbacks like candreva and moses would be redundant with wide forwards, and we would be better off with a player with qualities similar to Nandez.

A 3-4-3 means 2 central midfielders instead of 3 (or 4 centrally located midfielders when we consider 4-3-1-2 as an option), so it's two of Brozovic, Barella, Eriksen, Sensi, Vecino and a potential Tonali signing. So that doesn't sound like an option.

It also means two wing backs and two wide attacking players in front of them.

So that's a no go for Inter with our current roster.

Ok I get it. But wouldnt the wide mids in a 3-4-3 require different characteristics than WB in a 3-5-2...because a 3-4-3 could be potentially worse if we drop a CM and leave candreva and young in..

Those are still WBs. Conte's 3-4-3 at Chelsea still had Moses and Alonso. Just about any 3ab formation will involve wing-backs. Just as any 4ab formation will involve full-backs. You can't get away from the WB/FB problem by just not playing any.

Yeah 3-4-3 is out of the question. We don't have any forwards who can play that winged forward role so buying them now (we would need at least 3 of them at minimum) would be too expensive.

Chiesa is a pipe dream. Won't fit to any role in formations our squad can be built to. Tonali and Tolisso two names linked to Inter makes sense, though only if Tolisso can be bought for a reasonable price. Tonali will be the understudy of Brozovic and he can play other roles too in the midfield (replaces Valero). Tolisso will be the jack of all trades (replaces Gagliardini).

Our midfield would be

Brozo-Barella-Eriksen
Tonali-Tolisso-Sensi
Vecino

Might be dreaming and Tolisso is not possible with too big price tag, but it might be Vidal then (if he isn't lured to Newcastle by sheik money). Vecino stays as we need size to be brought in from the bench in certain situations. Tonali and Brozovic are 1.81m, Vidal and Tolisso are 1.8m. Vecino is 1.89m. We need the size. Might be someone "lesser" name also as it's totally possible Vecino isn't interested in being 4th option from the bench on a regular basis.

I'm not holding out hope we can play a 4-4-2, but any formation that involves candreva, moses, etc will ultimately fail.

Anything we do will include 3 center backs and 3 central midfielders.

Wouldn't it make sense to have Gagliardini in that option instead of Vecino given that Vecino makes more money and is quite often linked to the EPL who could.givr us somewhat decent money for him. If Gagliardini leaves it would.be to an Italian club and for less money as well. Not to mention Vecino has been a starter for Uruguay for years hence less likely to accept that option.

According to reports, this is the same way our management think as well. Vecino is far more likely to leave than Gagliardini.
