Signing Eriksen on free transfer will be one of the greatest transfer feat in Inter history. The midfield core setup will be Eriksen-Barella-Brozovic/Sensi in case he arrives here. Then, either of Brozovic or Sensi would leave since none of them will be content with rotation role. Sensi will be the most likely choice as Eriksen-Sensi setup will be outmuscled in every game and Sensi seems more injury prone (need more time to confirm). It will be a necessary offloading because we will have one of world's finest midfielder in our disposal.

I think if we are serious about our ambitions we need to keep both Sensi and Brozovic, no question.

If one of them leaves we’ll be back to square one with no depth.
We gonna have a stacked midfield next summer. They’ll be plenty of games for everyone and a lot of competition.
I expect gags and vecino we’ll be out and the likes of nandez, SMS, Castrovelli, tonali, VDB amd even that kid from Parma to come in.

First team player is designated to play 70-80 % of games and rotation player to play the rest and if the former is injured. Rotation players like Vecino and Valero will be content to play occasionally but players with calibre of Brozovic or Sensi will demand to play most of the games. If we want depth, we will sign useful rotation players , not stacking two high-profile players for one position.

Dont know where you get the 70-80% numbers from. Gagliardini and Vecino are theoretically rotation players too but when was the last time neither are on the field?

Eriksen if come isnt a direct replacement of ONE player. ANY of the three players injured OR need a rest the first sub will play. Or when we need to change tactics. The first sub will play every match without any problem.

Every top teams is stacking the bench with top players. See Jube. If we need “useful rotation players”, just sign no one, use Gags/Vecino.

Sensi should manage to stay fit in 70-80% of games before making any demands about his squad role. So far he has missed almost 50% of our games.

Eriksen has been my dream signing for YEARS. If we can snatch him would be a dream come true for me. He has played as CM, AM and a winger at Spurs, is one of the most creative players in the world with insane technique. He is having crap season, but we all know why is that.

Having Eriksen as advanced midfielder with Brozo/Sensi/Barella behind is one hell of a midfield. I wouldn't even wait till the summer, give Spurs ~20 mils and get him in January. Go for it!

Exactly. Assuming we’re in the CL next season (it’ll take a historic capitulation for us not to be), we need as many good players as we can get if we want to take steps forward. i.e. actually winning something.

This is simply the way it is these days. This is why juve can unconvincingly (yet easily) stroll to the title every year. Their 2nd string team is better than almost everyone else’s first team XI. Our backup XI on the other hand is no better than Fiorentina or Torino. All the top teams need depth and differing options. I’m sick of relying so heavily on Gagliardini and Vecino.

I don’t really want to talk about Eriksen because it seems highly unlikely until we hear more links. But a comparable example was people debating between Nainggolan or Rafinha heading into the 2018/19 season. To properly reinforce the squad, we would’ve taken both. For financial and other reasons, it obviously didn’t happen but the principle is the same today.

Doesn’t matter if Eriksen (or another high quality player) comes. Selling Sensi for Eriksen (while Vecino and Gags remain our first backups) is a Roma way of thinking. The ruthless, top sides stack quality on top of quality and would keep both.

I find it harder to hate on players that I wanted here.

For example as much as I detest Dybala's crybaby face, I cannot hate him as I always wanted him here. Then there's Pjanic who I just wanted to punch at all times no matter how highly I may rate him as a football player.

If Eriksen goes to Juventus he is welcome to be part of the hate list. Christian, you are an unexpected figure here, so prepare to be hated if you reinforce this :D

How about Emre Can for that midfield spot? He wants to leave Juventus as far as I know.

we shouldn't solve Juve's problem. It would hurt if they take the money and bring Tonali as his replacement.

He has very high wages, he's injury prone and Juve wouldn't strengthen their main Scudetto rival. Can next destination will be probably be EPL or Bundesliga where he still has a good name.

How and where would eriksen fit with this inter and with conte seemingly reluctant to change formation? Every team is gonna be in on him with big money, but I cant see how we get the best out of him unless we go with a 4312.

Can see us being better off by blowing our load on on a LWB, and signing Tonali +/ Castrovilli.

We can easily fit Eriksen in our midfield if we get an actual DM.

If we want to fit Eriksen in a midfield 3 we need one imo. Unless Barella turns into prime Vidal. If we prefer to play with a DLP then we need another box to box who can tackle.

I guess a 3412 could work but sensi would have to take a back seat to eriksen. IMO sensi would get overpowered in a 2 man CM.
