Don't assume that he's speaking of some secret done deal or whatever. He just says that this is what Inter needs and that he expects it to be done in the mercato as he is aware of our interest in such a player.

Market conditions will appear after our EL obligations end, hopefully with the trophy in hand. But we're obviously looking for someone here and that means that Brozovic is probably on our shopping list.

SMS would be insane to get, but we need more a left back, a defender and vice-lukaku. If we can pull off all our targets and get SMS, then wow. What is good though too is that we're moving players better off our squad recently. Some players bounce like Joao Mario etc, but there is a chance we offload many of them. If Vecino and Gagliardini (maybe one of them is included in a deal?) will be gone, then we need player like that, but still not getting my hopes up.

SMS isn't a midfield general by any means. What I like though is his versatility. He can prove to a tactical alternative to Lukaku, where we need someone to be the long ball outlet and hold the ball. A midfielder who can also be the vice-Lukaku in some sense.

I wonder why we aren’t linked to Allan of Napoli. Clearly he is on the way out over there and would be a fantastic addition as a pure CDM.

He could help us balance the formation when we want to start Erikson and need a real DM or a 60th minute sub to close out the game when we are winning.

If Vecino, Borja, and Gags go I would be elated to replace them with Radja, Tonali and Allan.

I believe Kante is available, but won't be cheap. There seems to be a difference of opinion between Conte & Marotta on this one. Conte clearly wants him, Marotta possibly wants someone younger for the future. So I guess this depends how hard Conte pushes for him, if he does like he did for Lukaku maybe Marotta will relent...

Personally I would love to see Kante at Inter. IMO he was the best DM in the world at Leicester and his first season at Chelsea with Conte... until Sarri changed his role and fucked with his head.

i think that a lot depends on which players we will keep next season, because currently the starting midfield wil be Barella and Brozovic with Eriksen behind the strikers. In this scenario, we need secondary lines better than borja, gagliardini and sensi (who is always injured...).

If one of the three starter will leave Inter (anche the only one i think could be Brozovic), then an important slot will be free and we could fill it with Kante or someone at the same level.
