Correa is a benchmark only in terms that we had some limited funds and decided to go after him. Tammy would be a much better choice, considering that he could have been inserted in the Lukaku's deal.

Tammy has the same amount as goals as Pinamonti…. With 10x better coaches and players around him

Caicedo would be a rest of the season loan, nothing more. Poor player yes, but better to have some experienced option available when Sanchez returns injured from Chile-duty.

Fuck no to Petagna's and co, they would need to signed on a longer contract/transfer fee and we'd end up having to trying to get rid of another useless striker (in addition to Correa) in few months.

Lol dude. Half of Pinamonti's goals are from penalties. And Abraham's contribution to Roma's attacks is miles ahead than what Pinamonti does for Empoli.

not a problem, he quit the national team ages ago.

caicedo is a decent player, a good one on his day. but very injury prone and probably on a very steep decline this season

Have you actually watched a Roma game this season?

Abraham is getting in the way more than he helps. Just because there's no other striker to score the goals doesn't mean that he's some sort of leader. Hopefully the PL thinks this way and some idiot pays 80m for him  It would be good for the league if Roma gets some money and buys useful players.

As for Caicedo, his role would be 5th forward for 6-18 months. Nothing wrong with that.

Tammy has good reaction instinct for a striker, that’s it. Aside that he has poor positioning, not good linking up play, grants that he plays with selfish Zaniolo and 50/50 Mkhitaryan. Mou has Oliveira fixing transition issue, let see if he can improve but for now I don’t rate him with his price tag

interesting compilation of Caicedo's late goals:

impressive stuff. Most of the goals were difficult to score and he was able to do it under the pressure.

And I think most of the yellow cards he get in Serie A are because of putting his shirt off after scoring the late goals
this man seems destined to join Inter

Not all of them but enough. I don't speak only based on youtube highlights.

Agree, besides the link-up play. For me, he is decent in this aspect, plus he's good in the air and likes to drop down. With his very good technique and above-mentioned attributes, he would have been quite useful instead of Dzeko, in the way how we are playing. Much more convincing than Scamacca for example at this moment. Of course, it's difficult to foresee how a player will develop further.
What i'm pissed about is that we spent 30 mln on Correa, who is spending his time between being injured and not in the form. I appreciate that he brought us 6 points with mainly his individual efforts, but this is too little, at least for me. If we had gotten Tammy of Zapata instead, now the mngmnt whould have been considering only replacement of Alexis, but not a one for Dzeko as well.

Doubt Caicedo would join only for 6 months. Latest rumour is he'll terminate his 3-year contract with Genoa and sign with Inter. Doubt he would do it only for 6 months. He also earns 2m at Genoa. His salary isn't exactly low for a 5th forward.

We got plenty money for salary, but no money for transfer fee . That's why we looking free player or loan option at this transfer window.

Caicedo had connection with Inzaghi, so i think he wil join us, just like Correa.

What a stark contrast between our sporting side and business side this deal represents. We are a Barella on the pitch and our owners are a Gagliardini (I'm sure this sentence is a crime against English language though, hopefully the point is clear).

Caicedo seems a really good 5th option, if we can sign for short term.

Based on my "research/ scout report".

He provides something we don't have right now, stocky enough for Serie A, not sure about Liverpool though.
Technique doesn't seem abysmal like Lukaku, actually decent for his size and play style.

He does actually seem very good for situations like our last game, when the other team parks the bus and he can create chaos in their box. Like he doesn't seem like he can hold up the ball like Lukaku, but he could use his strength to create passing or shooting chances.

Given Inzaghi doesn't blindly use his so-called "favorites" that he requests for. Also since FIF is so furious with Dzeko's Big chance misses; FYI Caicedo's conversion rate from last year and the year before is like 25.8% and 30% respectively with 25 and 30 apps, however, the number of shots per game are close to 1:1, probably indicates he came in on substitute quite often, and the mins suggested so.

The only thing is I guess, don't expect any flashy moves; he does not seem like a star type even he scored a lot of late mins goals.

If it is a loan, I cannot see why not.
