I like how everyone is so underwhelmed by Caicedo that we aren't even bothering to open a thread for him.
Honestly he’s a bit of a 2nd half specialist, somewhat like Muriel. I’m not jazzed but as a 4.5th option for no longer than 6 months I’m not fussed. Good guy inter will probably take him for 18 though.

Caicedo is a good move. 6 months, free, and for 4th/5th option. What's the harm?

He is definitely better than Salcedo or Petagna. The first will never set foot on the pitch, the latter will destroy all our attacks. It also ensures that we get a proper signing (Scamacca) in the summer.

According to Gazzetta, Juve will offer 7m net per season for a 3 year contract to Dybala (instead of 8+2 for a 4-year contract) as Vlahovic salary is the new salary cap of the club. If our interest in Dybala is genuine i wouldn't rule out anything. I can't see Dybala accepting an extension in these terms.

Don't think Inter would and should offer anything more than that to Dybala either,. So I don't know why Dybala should accept the same offer from us but reject the same one from Juve.

Principle. Juve had an agreement with him and back tracked.
Another principle would be to not move from a club you've spent 7 years on to their historical arch rival and encourage the anger of his current's club's fans. Don't know which principle Dybala's going to take base on the same offer from the both sides.

I mean if I was Dybala I’d want out too. Inter is he best option in Italy if he wants to stay. I could see Marotta giving him Sanchez money. Is he worth it? Debatable but he is 5 years younger and certainly not lesser than in terms of individual quality and fantasy. His injury record isn’t great but neither is Sanchez’s of late. Might be worth the gamble imo. We don’t have anyone with that sort of star potential.

After watching Tonali out muscle Dybala last Sunday, I wouldn’t prefer him over Lautaro.

I understand he is a difference maker, but he is 28 and appears weaker and slower than Sanchez.

Why show loyalty when they'll treat you like they have done?

That's something Dybala should answer, but if I was him I won't tarnish my history with a club I've spent many years on for the sake of moving directly to their arch rival just to earn the same salary I've considered low for a contract extension.

I think we might offer a bit more to him, but he's not worth it imo.

He hates them and what better way to get back at them then going to their biggest league Rivals for free. He basically getting a worst offer while being their best player for a guy who will potentially be a bust?

We offer him 7 net for 4 years + Bonus. We really should have a salary cap tho. I get breaking the bank for Lukakku but we can't just keep raising it or every player will want 7-10 million euro.

He comes here he starts with Lautaro and we have potentially Argentina's starting attack for the WC up top.

Marotta will do magic, Hakimi join, Lukaku join, Barella join, Gosens join, even Calhanoglu join.

Why Dybala not join us, especially when he know Marotta so well. :awyeah:

The rumour is Inter have offered 7.5m net for a 5-year contract so the distance is around 2.5m net throughout the duration of the contract. It remains to be seen if it's enough for Dybala to tarnish his Juventus legacy.

I think Dybala will get better offers from Liverpool, PSG or Spurs. I doubt he will pick Inter if we offer lower wages than those clubs.
