i'd still take Pinamonti over Scamacca because 40M (even 30M) for 4 good months is a crazy amount. They are basically the same age and Pinamonti has a very good record playing for Empoli. He has no Berardi, no Frattesi or Raspadori to create chances for him.
Bring back Pinamonti for free or if you really want to spend money spend it wisely. The only player worth 30-40M at Sassuolo might be Traoré, the fact that instead of going for him for our offensive midfield sector we're going for that tattooed giraffe is so painfully typical of Inter...

Pinamonti is not Inter material, not eaven close! We should just cash him now after decent season. If you actually look him play or goals he score, changes he miss and moves he make, you would not want to see him coming in on the Inter bench and expecting him to make a difference?

€40m for Scamacca is also lunatic and we will waste our money if we get him. Sassuolo or Fiorentina is good place for someone like Scamacca.

Pinamonti can dream of Torino/Genoa level team and to be starter there will be a reach!

Both players have decent seasons at smaller teams without real pressure and expectations so they have scored few goals… thats it!

The only time a striker from mid level team should deserve a jump to league title contender should be when he has a huge season in term of goal scoring.
Vlahovic with Fiore , Milito with Genoa etc
Success is never ensured even in these cases but at least you can't blame the club signing such players because their season deserves such chance (hence the reason i don't blame Milan for signing Piantek for example)

The scammacas , pinamontis , raspadoris of this world , scoring 10 goals here and there should never deserve such chance unless it comes for 15M max fees.
I am sure some exception exists but i fail to remember any example where a striker with such figures in his team , goes to a big club and explodes with 2x the stats he used to have.
I am way more in to give the chance to some guy scoring 20/25 in Dutch/Portugese/Belgium/younameit league than to the above

Satriano more talented than Scamacca, Raspadori and Pinamonti in my opinion.

Imagine have Suarez and Tevez in one team, lol, Lautaro x Satriano.

I will buy Scamacca for 30 million max, not for 40 million.

Pinamonti will go to Torino, He is the ticket for Bremer, I am sure Cairo phone Marotta every week for Pina.

The world has changed, what used to be 15M, is now 30/40M...

Smart business is not spending all your money on a player who's coming from a terrible season, has a huge salary and has no resale value.

We need several new additions to the squad and we are in no position to spend +30m on every player, so we need to be smart about how we're gonna spend the little money we have.

We have differing views of smart business. There seems to be rhetoric, rightly or wrongly Inter need elite talent and the club history expects this as a minimum. Yet, we are linked to talent that has potential who have exploded in the last 3 months and being held to ransom.

Lukaku is a talent, he has shown it before and I still think he can be serviceable. This all hypothetical but there will be a moment where Inter's management must ask themselves why buy Scammaca for 40M when you can buy Lukaku for X, Y or Z? I am not sure what is realistic but Lukaku is clearly on the way out of Chelsea, he wants a return to Inter and if Lukaku & Don Beppe can strong arm Chelsea into a deal that is +/- 10% of the transfer fee of Scammaca, anyone in there right mind would have to consider this.

We dont have alot of options because of our finances. And mostly likely Lautaro will be sacrificed to buy (70M), Sanchez will be let go and we're left with Dzeko and Correra. So far we're linked with the following players; Scammaca (40m), Thuram (20ishM), Dybala (free - 7M net in wages), Lukaku (???) and Nunez (70M).

My preference with Lautaro sacrificed is 1. Dybala (7M net wages), 2. Lukaku (Transfer < 50M 7m net wages) 3. Scammaca (<25M or walk away) as for the others, I havent seen Thuram not sure if he will add anything and Nunez GAGF'd for 70M

*Note: Jovic is another option, and he would be the same as Lukaku, if the financial parameters make sense. However his transfer would need to work with how we plan to lineup with or without Dybala/Lautaro

It is clear that we won't sign any powerhouse without the sacrifise of Lautaro. So no Nunez, Lukaku etc. I would prefer for Lautaro to stay. I hope Pedulla etc are right and Dybala can come without selling Lautaro. Lautaro, Dybala, Correa and Dzeko are, on paper, a nice strikers department. But, Correa and Dybala are injury prone and Dzeko is done. I really hope we can dump Dzeko and we can add someone else.

What would be the best out of the following options?: Depay (will be a free-agent coming summer apparently), Jesus (is allowed to leave City for something like 30 million), Jovic (can come on some cheap loan-deal) Scammaca (apparently he will cost 40 million), Joao Pedro (When Cagliari is relegated he wouldn't cost much?), Icardi (PSG is desperate too dump him).

We need Satriano and Esposito keep developing. Being a fifth choice striker with us, wouldn't help that.

Jovic - If not, Werner in Chelsea he hasnt been lighting the world on fire either.

Still would try to get him. Especially because our financial position and I'm not willing to spend 40M on Scamacca.
Jovic doesn't convince me neither. He was good at Frankfurt in the tandem with Kostic and Haller. That you don't succeed at Real Madrid isn't an embarrassment but his loan spell at Frankfurt past year wasn't a succes either. Also he isn't a sure starter for Serbia and he will come on high wages.

It's more that we have to choose from the lesser evil. The position we are in right now means we can't go for the Darwin's or Haalands of this world. We don't have money to buy so we have to depend on players who have some scratches on their career path. I think the biggest issue is Jovic his mentality. It's a risk but I think we are fishing in a pool with players who are all a risk, some big some small.

That's why I prefer we get someone on a (expensive) loan so we can cut the deal off next year instead of spending a lot of money on someone who will be hard to sell if needed.

Saw us linked to Gabriel Jesus, I actually think that would be a sneakily good signing. Probably out of our price range though. Would prefer him to Scamacca, I get that they’re totally different players. I think we still lack pace and dribbling and he would fit a front 2 well.

Not sure about that. I have read rumors City want 25-30m for Gabriel. Not an outrageous fee. No idea about his wages though.

My issue with him is he's another forward who doesn't score much. Not sure he would fix the issue in attack.

Gabriel Jesus is good Correa replacement, i don't want him replace Lautaro.

No, Gabriel Jesus is closer to Lautaro than Correa, more of a striker.

He’s winger, I don’t see we can play him with current set up.
