Much more credible is Marotta doing this sale as a director like any smart director would consider doing.

I think it’s obvious who we want but you guys know how this game goes. Especially when we are in the process of selling a player for 120 million euros. If we are too eager or make it strictly known is Vlahovic or bust we are going to end up spending most the money we get from Lukaku on a 21 year old with one good season.

If Vlahovic or Fiorentina are being too difficult I would approach Real and ask for Jovic on loan with option. I still think there’s a really good player there, he’s just a little low on confidence. Essentially the same way Lukaku was when we got him. Not to mention Real Madrid “rejects” and Inter are historically a match made in heaven.

Unrelated to this thread but I hope if we sell Lukaku we also make a cheeky offer to Barca for Emerson Royal. They are desperate to shift players so you never know you might catch them in a weak moment. It’s easy for them to sell when the excuse is they’re trying to save Messi.

Yeah has to be a loan + option. I heard he didn't bother to learn a bit of spanish, i don't like players with that kind of mindset (Tevez aside)
