We can't afford Vlahovic. He would be my first choice. I'd rather just play Satriano than waste money on Dzeko.

Even if Sunning wants to spend the Lukaku money elsewhere they need to invest to not lose more. I have hard time believing they are this stupid

I don't think Zhang applies only transfer fee limit, but also salary limit. Not a coincidence that all of our targets are either super low salary (Vlahovic, Zapata) or super low transfer fee (Dzeko). This means we can cross Abraham or Jovic out of the consideration because of the higher total cost.

Eventually, we are saving 17m from Big Rom salary but aren't allow to spend them all on the newcomers.

The situation is worse than it looks. We can't buy players from big clubs due to the high salary. Smaller clubs won't sell their key players (Belotti, Vlahovic) either, two weeks before the new season, unless the offer is too good to refuse -> we have literally no choice but overpaying MASSIVELY to fill our gaps.

Don't know why some of you can criticize Marotta here. He's handling the shittiest job out there. Basically, Zhang is tying his arms & legs and forcing him to swim with his nuts.
