So far I have seen no one link us to Vlahovic other than GdS. And they are pretty adamant about it too.

I'm gonna hold them to this, this is their chance to jump up a tier in my list. But the language doesn't sound reliable, 'studying a major bid' literally means nothing. Marotta and co. are probably studying a bid for like 200 players at the moment.

I wasn’t convinced by Vlahovic in his first couple seasons at Viola (he was very young to be fair) but obviously last year he took a massive step. I feel like he’s gonna blow up. He has the size, speed, technique and plenty of room to grow.

We’d be fools to not try every avenue in regards to acquiring him. Even if he have to throw in some promising young talent. If he continues to progress, he’ll be a €100m player sooner rather than later.

Yea I noticed this too. Other sources like SKY haven't even uttered the word "Vlahovic" in what seems like an age while GdS are the only ones persisting on the rumour. That GdS link is the only thing stopping my penis from falling off after this mercato.

Hasn’t GDS been pretty accurate for Inter news lately?

I don't see how this is relevant to be honest.

Of course we are trying to get Vlahovic, he's been in our radar immediately when Lukaku sweepstakes started. I really don't see GdS reporter(s) having some inside information from Inter.

It's Roma news:

Abraham wants to go to Arsenal. Roma are in talks with Chelsea about him. The price is 40 million, but the player wants to stay in the EPL.
Isak - either a 70m clause or a starting price of 40m + bonuses. There are difficulties in negotiations with R.C.
Vlahovic - out of budget as Fio wants 60 million in cash + bonuses. Mainly because of the interest in Vlahovic by several EPL clubs.
Icardi is off budget as he stays in Paris.
Belotti - difficulties in the form of payment that Toro wants. And Belotti himself is not at the top of Moura's list of strikers.

Theoretically, if we sell Lautaro for 80, we will have enough for Vlahovic - Isak duo ))

What makes you say that? Nowhere is said how much of Lautaro's possible sale price would be allocated for the replacement. Lukaku was sold for 115m€ and our budget for transfers according to the media is around 55m€. Hakimi money was banked 100%.

I'd definitely try to persuade Zhangs to allow us to spend to get Vlahovic, even if it means spending extra 10-15m€. A risky bet but I don't think we are in a position to play it "safe" after selling Lukaku which was the opposite of playing safe.

I mean, investing in Zapata is playing it safe, he will provide goals but nothing special, nothing long-term. Resale value is 0. I can see directors going for that direction to kind of save their asses and secure the top4 for the next season but it won't give us the Scudetto. Vlahovic won't give us the Scudetto either but gives us options for the future. His value goes even higher after CL performances (I doubt he would flop hard, we have still good team around him). We might sell him high (and build around Lautaro) or sell Lautaro next summer and build around Vlahovic (though Zhang is then "why not both"). Would give some hope and continuity for this club's attack.

Getting Zapata now, then selling Lautaro next summer and we have no young striker to build our future attack around. We need to buy that player next summer and then it takes time for the guy to gel into the team and the club and we've wasted a year of this gelling process.

If Roma get Isak for the same amount of money we spend on Zapata... :palm:

I think the point was that in principle all of any Lautaro fee would be available for reinvestment. It feels like (and is consistent with what we've been told) that we had a specific hurdle to clear and once cleared everything else is investable. Time will tell if that's true or not.

Selling Lautaro would be counterproductive even if we get to use all the money. Because we would need to replace him and who's going to be as good as him who's in the market? Not Isak, not Vlahovic, not Zapata, not Belotti.

Selling Lautaro makes only sense if we desperately need plusvalenza and there is a huge offer available. I've understood that is not the case now.

I think it depends really on what the new Lukaku is. We need to balance the characteristics in the strikers to make sure they're effective as a unit. I would hope with an out and out goalscorer, Lautaro does make a good pairing, but until we know the first name, we cant really make the judgement?

Can we just bomb Marotta and Ausilio twitters #Isak or #EnNesyri tags?

To remind them that we don't have to deal with Italian pussies and there are TONS of options we could try from abroad, with 40-70m money.

I never get why we have to stick with Serie A shitty pool. Are our scouts are too lazy to fly abroad?

cant afford international fares, last time we sent a scout abroad he got caught with loads of brazilian trannies and had to sign jonathan as an excuse if you remember.

Then just fire the current scouts and hire ones working for Atalanta. Doubling their salary. Surely won't cost more than 5m.

Some members make the mistake to see a Lautaro sale as something isolated. Out of the 3, i would certainly prefer selling Lautaro. He never gave a vibe he wants to stay at Inter for years, he has only 2 years left in his contract, he's asking for a high salary to extend and it would be easier to replace him than Hakimi and Lukaku.

But we need to see the bigger picture here. We have already lost 3 starters (Eriksen, Hakimi, Lukaku), we have only signed Hakan and we're 10 days before the start of the season. If we also sell Lautaro, that would take the number to 4. How many teams from a top league have they sold so many starters in one summer and they managed to stay competitive? I can only think of Roma who managed to turn from Scudetto contenders to finishing outside top 4 in just two seasons when Monchi turned them into a supermarket.

This isn't football manager. People hate to hear it but that's the reality. You can't sell half of the starting lineup, replace them with others and expect it to work from day one. The players would need time to adjust to the club and the coach and even a top 4 finish would be at risk.

Selling your starting forwards 10 days before the start of the season is a recipe for disaster.

Because they're afraid to take any risks so they prefer to go for the safe (at least that's what they think) choice.

yeah i do find that sort of thing kind of funny, like, why dont we just sign the atalanta scouting team. I'm sure if you pay them 2x its probably STILL less than our scouts make now, and the best we can produce seems to be guys who are very good at amateur football one day in the future.

Gosens cost Atalanta less than Satriano, Tassi, Colidio, all these guys. Wtf.
