Not sure Malen was a Rose choice or he was forced to Rose by Zorc. Rose chose to start Hazard instead of Malen against Eintracht and even with Hazard out he chose to start youngster Moukoko instead of Malen in the Supercup.

I've read Malen was like a deal made with Raiola way before. That they would sign him (and Raiola made sure with the seller earlier at what price) with an agreed price of 30m€. Probably all is related to Håland too as Raiola made that deal with BVB, which was favourable for Håland with the release clause. Probably promised Malen to BVB.

As when it comes to Thuram, they say in the media his price would be over 30m€. And I say forget about it, we ain't getting an offensive winger for over 30m€ when we don't even have that position.

Don’t understand why we don’t try for Marcus Thuram. He’s closer to Lukaku than Zapata tbh, or at least he has the potential to be. He’s fast, tall, strong and young. I also think he already speaks Italian, seeing as he was born in Parma and lived there for 10 years I think?

Would cost a lot probably but I can see us getting him for 50(correct me if I’m wrong). If we can spend 40 mil on Zapata then we can try for Thuram.

We’re going with Dzeko as the safe bet already, we don’t need Dzeko and Zapata. They’re way too similar. Lukaku wasn’t just a strong target man, he was also fast af and could occasionally create chances out of nothing. Neither old man Dzeko or Zapata can really do that. Thuram could.

Lautaro, Thuram, Dzeko and Sanchez is honestly a very solid forward line. Then we would just need a solid RWB and we could be good. Not Scudetto good, but at least we’ll make CL.

And PLEASE get Gagliardini and Vecino the fuck out.

IMO it's always a risk to add a younger player from abroad to be a striker and expect to produce about immediately. And this acquisition we are going to make should come with an expectation of producing pretty much immediately. Serie A is a tough league to score goals.

When Rose was using 3-5-2 Thuram was playing as a forward along with Plea. But his main position is left winger.

Towards the end of the season, Rose used a variety of different formations with Thuram as a forward. 3-4-3, 4-4-2, 3-4-1-2.

In the first game of this season, I believe he came in as a sub for Plea at forward.

A lot of his goals are just tap ins or from very close range, which is not easy as it sounds, but says shit all about his overall talent and ability. Still would put him ahead of the tall dude from Wolfsburg.

Don’t see why not, he’s played there before and he’s not the typical winger. He’s 192cm tall and good in the air.

We already have Dzeko who can deliver immediately, Thuram would be perfect imo.

Perishit and CR7 are tall and good in the air too, doesn't make them perfect fits for the CF role. Thuram is a poor finisher and doesn't have poaching ability/goal scoring instinct, he'd be useless in the box.

Certain thing you can't teach, that said, Inter isn't the best place to hone your skills, we've seen this time and time again.

Edit - I will be happy if the match doesn't happen. I'm always nervous about facing Juve. I don't think our team (with/without Lukaku/Conte/Hakimi) has it within them to beat Juve.

supercoppa schedule has been weird for some time now. Last year it was played in January.
