Scamacca as Dzeko's rotation partner is just fine. If you're not Vlahovic level young player, you're not walking to Inter's starting lineup. He can play himself to be there but it's not coming without a lot of work and proof.

I’m not sure Scamacca’s ceiling but even if he doesn’t develop into a top striker, he can still be useful as a decent rotation option if he’s not too expensive. If Scamacca costs 40m, i wish we double that to get Vlahovic and sell someone else (De Vrij?) to fund that extra 40m. Vlahovic is a phenomenal talent you don’t see often. 80m for him is still cheap considering Lukaku costs 115m.

Julian Alvarez looks like he has higher ceiling than Scamacca, but he’s a different kind of player of course. If we don’t have Correa, he should be a no-brainer.

It doesn't work like that. 40m valuation of Scamacca would be made of counterparts also, we don't have money to buy Scamacca for 40m in cash.

So no, we cannot double the 40m of Scamacca to get Vlahovic. Also, De Vrij will probably fetch us more close to 20m than 40m.

No, I mean when did ever any FIF request or desire of "future of Inter" or "the next 10 years" ever work out, especially for duos?
Remarkably the ones that did survive this long was Cordoba and Materazzi and we were trying to replace them for at least 7 seasons (Cannavaro, Samuel, Chivu, Burdisso, Lucio etc), Cambiasso who was considered Davids' backup when signed and of course Javier Zanetti who came out of nowhere.

Every other time I read this it probably lasted less than 2 seasons.
Adiano & Martins being the most sought after and the one that lasted the soonest.

His stats at PSV youth teams were dreadful. 22 matches 3 goals. His most productive season was in 2019/20 with Ascoli in Serie B when he scored 9 league goals.

Regarding Scamacca with his 40m price tag and never scoring a +10 goals per season. The same fucking discussion again and again.
What have he don to deserve a 40m tranfer ? Fuck no, only if you put in transfer player X and Y (usually 2 trash players that we overvalue). After the player pan out, more or less the same people scream, why didn't we took him, because he obviously has the talent to be a big striker.

It's up to Marotta, Simone and Ausilio (or whoever our scouter is) to sit at the table and decide if Scamacca had the upside to become wht we wish for a forward. If iyes, pay the fucking 40m, with or without 10+ goals season. Of course, there are risks, but without risks, we go nowhere.

Finally someone said it. If Scamacca was playing in EPL or La Liga people would laugh at the suggestion of him being the future of our attack. He's only considered because the options from Serie A are very limited. Vlahovic is out of reach and the rest would either be just a stop gap (e.g. Zapata) or simply not good enough (Simeone, Belotti, Beto).

Personally i don't see such a high potential in Scamacca and he would be more like a lazy or a safe choice but if they believe he can become a top player go for him. But don't do it because he's the best option you can afford from inside the league and you're afraid to take a risk from abroad.

Scamacca may become a top forward one day but today he's a big gamble.

I don't want Scamacca, specially for that price. I'm with those who say Julian Alvarez is a better choice for us, but Inter look very fixed on the former, at least from the recent rumors. With the likely departure of Sanchez, the idea of getting them both is not bad. But I don't think we spend 60m on two strikers in the summer. Specially when other positions need reinforcements as well.
