Inter are looking to bring in young Pisa striker Lorenzo Lucca

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 21-year-old is a target for the Nerazzurri as a player to build their attack around for the future, with the player valued at around €10 million.

Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com also report that the 21-year-old is the subject of interest from a number of top Italian clubs after his strong start to the season.

Lucca has been in eye-catching form in front of goal since moving to Pisa from Palermo in the summer, finding the back of the net five times in six matches for the Serie B side and leading to interest from top clubs in Serie A.

Inter see Lucca as a potential solution to the future of their attack with Edin Dzeko only a player for the present given his age, but the Rossoneri and the Bianconeri are admirers of the player as well.

Claudio Chiellini, brother of Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini, is the Sporting Director at Pisa which could give a potential advantage to the Bianconeri in the race for the player’s signature, but both Milan clubs are also very serious about bringing him in.

Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali confirms Inter wanted to sign both Giacomo Raspadori and Gianluca Scamacca in the summer, but the Neroverdi ‘didn’t need to sell.’

Inter sold Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea during the summer transfer window and both Raspadori and Scamacca had emerged as possible replacements for the Belgian forward.

During an interview with Il Corriere dello Sport, Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali confirmed the Nerazzurri had asked for both strikers.
“Marotta asked me for both, but we gamble on young players and for this reason, we sold [Francesco] Caputo,” Carnevali said.

“Now Giacomo and Gianluca will have more chances to show their qualities.

“Our club do not need to sell at all costs and we do certain operations only when we deem it appropriate, also taking into account the good of the boys.”

“Raspadori is an attacker with great qualities and technical skills out of the ordinary,” Carnevali continued.

Can someone tell me whats so special about Raspadori? I see a diminutive player I'm expecting a Miccoli or DiNatale clone but he doesn't look particular agile or quick.

Miccoli was always such a fun player to watch. Raspadori looks strong technically and seems like a solid 2nd striker. Agree nothing really spectacular there in terms of dynamism.

I have a feeling he and Scammaca are going to struggle this seaso.

He's been a bit shit this season, but I'd still do anything (anything reasonable) to get him. Lautaro, Vlahovic, Correa, Dzeko, Sanchez (?) is a more than excellent forwards line-up.

I would sell Lautoro and replace with Vlahovic. 3 years younger and IMO will turn out to be a better, more complete CF.
