Insigne would be retarded especially with Belotti being a free agent too
Exactly. We can't do that anymore as the Zhang project from 2 years is over. We've been giving that kind of money for non-carry players for 2 years now.
Against Alexis and Dzeko maybe, not against Lautaro. Insigne just reeks choking.Frankly he would be a better penalty taker than Alexis, Dzeko, or Martinez.
Firmly against this signing, though.

How the hell can one prefer Belotti over Insigne?
Wouldn't Insigne also be a free agent?Insigne would be retarded especially with Belotti being a free agent too
If you mean that Insigne will have Dzeko's effect but Belotti will be nothing special, i don't agree. Insigne will be more like Hakan or Alexis imo. Old and declining player with huge salary and almost no final product. Belotti will be also free agent, and if we can get him for a low fee in January he could be very useful as he's much more suitable for Dzeko's rotation. Something that we desperately lack so far.My guess is that its people who like someone being younger, even though Belotti is just 2 years younger than Insigne. Just like some people were delighted by us signing average players like Correa, but have been against Inter signing Dzeko over the last 2 years. Coz in terms of quality, Insigne is a quality wing-forward / support striker and Belotti is just an average CF.
If we keep signing mediocre players like Belotti, Hakan, Correa just because they are "younger" or "free", we will become a mediocre mid table club. I would prefer Inter sign 1 quality player instead of 3 mediocre ones like Belotti, Nandez, etc.
We have had many SS already (Correa, Lautaro, Sanchez, and the youngsters). Pairing an inverted winger like Insigne and another SS works only in Fifa. It's like paying 6m to buy a golden hammer to chop trees. Never be efficient. My guess is that its people who like someone being younger, even though Belotti is just 2 years younger than Insigne. Seems that the club found him: Paul Onuachu @transfermarktI might agree on the mediocrity reasoning if you can suggest a better striker?
> Could be signed for €20m.Reports suggest Inter are among the contenders for KRC Genk and Nigeria international striker Paul Onuachu.
The 27-year-old made the move from FC Midtjylland to Genk in 2019 and is having a great campaign, scoring 11 goals in just 14 competitive appearances so far this season.
His height is the main selling point, standing at 2.01 metres (6ft 7in), which prompted comparisons with current Inter centre-forward Edin Dzeko and former San Siro player Nwankwo Kanu.
Alexis Sanchez is widely expected to leave Inter in January, which opens up a slot for a new forward.
However, the Nerazzurri face competition from Atletico Madrid and Arsenal, while the €25m asking price is also a huge sticking point.
Onuachu only recently extended his contract to June 2024.

I don't think that Belotti is so mediocre as you make it and that Insigne is so quality to justify 6mln+ wage, even as a free agent. If he was, De Laurentis would already have offered him a new deal. I watched a couple of Napoli games so far, and they are carried by their midfield and Oshimen. Insigne is just a supplementary and easy replaceable player there. Something like Callejon in his last season in Naples.I am not saying we should sign Insigne and not get a "back up/alternative" for Dzeko. I was just comparing Insigne's quality as a support striker / winger vs Belotti's mediocrity as a No 9. Obviously they play completely different roles, and its not an either/or. As I have been saying from the beginning, Inter fucked up going after Correa last summer. We needed a No 9, not a 3rd choice support striker with average quality. We already had Martinez and Sanchez for that role, and they both are superior to Correa in quality.
As for Dzeko alternative, Belotti is a mediocre No 9 IMO. Inter need a quality No 9 coz Dzeko will not be able to play 90 minutes every match day. There is also a serious risk of long injury with someone of his age. We need someone who can make Dzeko a super-sub. Belotti ain't that.
I am just dead against buying mediocre players, just coz they are "free" or younger. Thats what we did during the banter era. Correa, Hakan and now Belotti are those kind of signings. Waste of money, and very hard to get rid of.
You should look into Icardi's insta storyCan I open a Mauro Icardi thread? Just for the laughs
A rumor circling around he’s coming back this January after the separation between him and wify.
I wana open it and kick back enjoy the show
I think he will be a great quarterback at Inter Milan.
Yeah this wouldn’t make sense for either party. We don’t exactly do great with 18 year olds.
