I see no reason to terminate Dzeko's contract. He has been a great asset to the team. The issue with Dzeko is he's overplayed. He should have been a quality option from the bench but instead he's playing nonstop because, in Inzaghi's mind, we have no one even to rest him.

I think if we signed someone like Jovic on loan Dzeko could get more rest. All our other attackers are different to Dzeko. He's our best finisher, so it's understandable that he plays alot.

But another reason could be that the other 3 strikers, specially Correa and Sanchez were not fully available since the start of season. So that could be another reason as why Dzeko was overplayed so far.

Is he going to replace Sanchez?
There are conflicting reports whether that meeting was about Insigne or D'Ambrosio. Even those who report meeting was about Insigne claim Inter were put off by Insigne high demands considering there are doubts if he could fit in Inzaghi's 3-5-2.

For me the whole Insigne saga makes little sense. Insigne is a winger and we don't really know if he can play successfully as a secondary striker. But let's assume for the sake of the argument he can. How are we going to play in attack? Insigne wouldn't be coming to sit on the bench. Fielding a Lautaro-Insigne attacking duo? Inzaghi doesn't seem to trust Lautaro as a main forward.

As things stand, we have 3 players to fight for 1 position while we have no one to rest Dzeko. Our priority should be a forward either to bench Dzeko or to give him some rest. Only a Lautaro sale could change our priorities.

Absolutely as Il Drago puts it. If we’re in a position to give a forward 6/7m a season, they better be coming here to start instead of Dzeko.

Agree, thats what I was saying when Inter were going for Correa - we should have prioritised a forward to bench Dzeko instead.

Insigne IMO has the quality to play 2nd forward, but it would only make sense for us if Martinez/Sanchez leave and after we have a forward to bench Dzeko.

"According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter remain interested in Giacomo Raspadori and are preparing a swap deal to sign the Sassuolo starlet.
The Nerazzurri want to add more Italian players to their squad after Matteo Darmian, Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolò Barella, Federico Dimarco, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Roberto Gagliardini and Stefano Sensi.
Raspadori is a long-time target of the Serie A champions, but Sassuolo value him at €30m.
Inter’s CEO Beppe Marotta has recently admitted that the Nerazzurri can’t afford big-money moves. Therefore the Italian paper assumes the Nerazzurri would need a swap deal to sign the Italy international.
Sassuolo are reportedly interested in Samuele Mulattieri, a 21-year-old striker currently on loan at Crotone, where he has scored six goals in ten Serie B appearances this season.
Lucien Agoumé, a midfielder on loan at Brest, is also on Sassuolo’s radars, but adding those two players to a swap deal won’t be enough for the Nerazzurri to sign Raspadori.
According to the report, the Neroverdi also expect a loan offer for their starlet, who has only scored one goal in ten Serie A appearances this season."

Mulattieri and Agoume should both be kept, hopefully big future's with us.

I am a big fan of Raspadori but not for 2 players with high chance of a great future, sure go all out and throw Satriano Esposito Vanheusden and Pirola in too.

I've seen nothing from Agoume that screams "great player in the making". Looks like a Gagliardini to me.

Mulattieri is a different breed, but he needs to prove he can pull it off at a higher stage. Thus far, he feels like a player at the level of Caprari, Gabbiadini and Cutrone. Which means useful, but nothing special.
