We're gonna need two forwards over the next two years anyway to replace Sanchez and Dzeko, so if Alvarez is a hot prospect we take him this summer and maybe Scamacca does another year at Sassuolo unless Rube poach him.

Julian Alvarez is 5'8" and doesn't score that much. I just can't see him as a Dzeko replacement. I rather we focus our money on getting Scamacca.

You took the height out of the comparison so how Alvarez would be a good Dzeko replacement again? Dzeko's contribution on the pitch has a lot of other things too, not just scoring. Alvarez wouldn't provide aspects of Dzeko's game which require his size to be used in team's favour.

It was a joke about the frequency of Dzeko's scoring recently :D

This Alvarez seems a bit like Lautaro, just as clumsy, but those shots from outside look great. Meh, sure why not, we're probably selling Lautaro next, anyway

I'd say he's far closer to Higuain in playing style than Lautaro.

Make it an Argentine attacking force next season with Julian Alvarez and Gio Simeone. With Cagliari going down we could get Gio on lower amounts, probably on loan with an option to buy.

Dzeko, Lautaro, Correa, Alvarez and Simeone would give us lots of options and we won't need to overspend to reinforce the attack. All different players with still many more years to offer (minus Dzeko).

I’m confused about what the role of Alvarez would be. Just a general forward I guess? Could probably do decent enough partnered with any of our strikers.

The way I see our forwards now:

Strikers: Lautaro & Dzeko

Support strikers: Sanchez & Correa

I’m not a huge fan of Lautaro and Dzeko playing in tandem together, I prefer one of Correa or Dzeko with them. From what I’ve seen of Alvarez he seems like he would fit into the first category more so then the second. So I guess the question is who is leaving and who is Alvarez expected to replace? Surely it would be Sanchez? I don’t see him as really a natural replacement for either Sanchez or Dzeko.

If Sanchez is leaving I’d prefer we go for another SS type.

He's not a classic CF and he is not a SS either, but could play in both positions. He's not like Lautaro and he's not like Sanchez either, but to me Lautaro is more of a CF than him. With Sanchez likely gone Alvarez would be a direct replacement for him.

If we sign Alvarez I guess we'll go another season without a direct vice-Dzeko. Then when Dzeko leaves, we sign that target striker.

Or we buy Alvarez and loan him out.

Scamacca is perfect Dzeko backup.

Marotta already work on him for next summer, probably we try to buy Vlahovic if miracle happen.

Dybala is perfect Sanchez replacement, but his wage too high, and i think he will reject us.

Julian Alvarez is an opportunity, i think in chase Scamacca not join.

Make the right moves and Dybala's wages aren't too big anymore. He's exactly the type of player we need.

Suning 100% won't approved it, if Suning sold Inter, i am sure this move will be happen next summer.

Next summer we will release so many players with high wage because Suning had big debt.
