Not a bad deal but I'm not sure if he's the one.
He's gonna give us more Frey vibes than Peruzzi vibes.
If we had the money, we should try and cut PSG grass and bring Donnarumma back to Italy. Its crazy how he is 2nd string keeper....

Always said championships are won with a stable keeper and back 4. However, this guy will do.

The biggest problem with having a goalkeeper from Africa is the absence that will happen. So the question is, are we open to have an okay gk in goal for like 1 month?

AFCON will be held in the summer in the future I heard.

Am a little worried that Barca comes back strong for Onana. Free transfer, financial difficulties. Ter Stegen was just put on transfer market, luckily he has huge contract that no normal clubs can pay for only elite, so they are stuck with him for some time because all the elite already has a great gk and contract termination is out of the discussion imo.

Look at Ramsey at Rube. Yesterday there wa a meeting with his agent and Rube directors, no mutual golden handshake termination lol, 7M € net a year until 2023. Noone wants to sign him and he can only be sold or loaned. They are stuck with him.

I am not worried about Onana and Barcelona. Barca can only make empty promises to Onana about a starting position. Putting Ter Stegen on the market means nothing if there's no team willing to satisfy their demands.

Honestly i can't see where Ter Stegen could go. City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd are set with GKs. Tottenham could look for a GK but good luck convincing Ter Stegen to go there. PSG have Donnarumma. Bayern could be an option for post-Neuer but in 2-3 years, not now. Neuer has a contract till 2023, there are already discussions for an extension and there's no sign of decline. His best option would probably be Juventus but i doubt they can afford him.

I dunno if Onana wants to take a step down into the Europa league either.

Yeah, the convincing skills of Piero and Beppe for a "free transfer move" is 2nd to none in the football world, we are promising him a starting spot , a respectable wage in current Serie A champs team, also CL matches. But Barcelona always has a pull on players, even in EL.
I want to see this deal done aka Onana himself announcing it.

It depends on the country that wins the hosting rights. Some countries have to be held in Jan due to rain patterns.

This one was suppose to be July initially. Was moved after they determined rains would interfere.

What about Shakhtar's Trubin? Really liked him when we played them. Good reflexes, confident and tall (unlike Cragno).

I'd also prefer Cragno over any other GK in Italy right now.

People need to realize Cragno is not that good. Just cause he has a great game vs Inter don't mean shit. He's bad with his feet, bad on coming out on corners and too short. He's just an average goalkeeper that makes people think he's good cause he performs well vs us.
Anyway, Trubin would be a solid choice, but I am pretty sure it will be Onana or another year with Handa as #1. I dont see us spending money on anyone else. There's also no great goalkeeper on the market anyway. Well, perhaps Ter Stegen, but Inter aint paying 40M for him.

Now Trubin would be a proper replacement but he might be to pricey for the poor Inter budget.

But Inter’s GK succession line is crazy good so hopefully it continues.

Handa is still good though. He is old and he made some mistakes but still one of the most reliable ball-playing GKs. Do you guys think Onana will take Handa’s starting place next season if he comes?

The situation can change in 1-2 years but right now I still trust Handa more than any of the names we’re linked with.
