I`m reading the news every day and nobody seems to have reported such thing in Italy, so it`s probably nothing.

Only thing I read was Uruguayan radio station 970 Universal, who claim that Inter have made contact over signing the Uruguayan international. The Nerazzurri are currently thought to be €5 million short of Penarol’s €17 million valuation for the player.

I call bullshit on this rumor because we are not using wingers and we need to generate +80m balance after this summer mercato.

Elegant player that I like very much, left footed which is nice to have, and also 1.83m so not another shorty for the midfield. I guess my main thing is, would he come to be a rotation player, because Hakan - Brozovic - Barella seems very much set in stone to be the starting trio. However, I don't doubt he'd be able to outperform Calhanoglu when he's going through one of his dips.

Seems very much like a 22/23 deal that we're trying to get done now, much like Raspadori would be.

If we weren't desperate and broke, he would be the exact player I'd be advocating for. We can't ask Barella to play 45 games again this season. It's not sustainable and surely is part of the reason his form dropped in the second half of the season. Pessina could be given plenty of playing time while he grows into a starting role once Calhanoglu or Brozovic leaves.

Not sure why we are discussing Pessina (perhaps ths Player Suggestion thread would be more appropriate?) as we haven`t been linked to him, however I can assure you he is not moving this summer.

Why? Not because Inter cannot afford the €30m rated player, but because of a clause in the deal which took the player to Atalanta from AC Milan in 2017.

Those clauses stipulate that should La Dea sell the player before he makes one hundred appearances for the club it would affect how much Atalanta are paid on top of AC Milan receiving 50% of the fee involved.

given he's on 59 at the moment he'd need one hell of a season to get to 100. Not impossible, though. I guess Atalanta have good cuase to get him to 100, even if it means sub ons when he's been rotated.
