Trash ass player but I'll keep an open mind. I'd have gone for Ceballos on loan, good player on his day.

Of course i would because they are much better players than Hakan. Serie A proven doesn't mean much if the quality isn't there. Verrati also hasn't played as a starter in Serie A. Would you take Hakan over him? Of course not.

No one mentioned Verratti. Verratti is a world class player so I don't quite understand this comparison.

van de Beek hasn't been a success at United, he's done well only at Ajax. Ceballos, I don't know about him, he's going back to Spain after a disappointing season at Arsenal. Coutinho? Probably wouldn't fit to our system. Played 800mins last season. Saying all these names are better than Hakan is a reach IMO.

I'd say Hakan is a much more sure bet, what we're gonna get. Created the most scoring chances in all Europe this season. And he comes for free, now. We have no idea if those media-mentioned names are even available and/or interested moving to Inter on loan. They were just names thrown around.

I brought up Verrati to show you starting in Serie A isn't a serious argument in favor of Hakan. Just because he starts in Serie A it doesn't mean he's better than players who have never played in the league.

Van de Beek didn't fail at United simply because he was never given the chance. The coach doesn't trust him and he started only 4 games. Ceballos was great in his first season at Arsenal. He's just coming from a poor second season. But Arsenal are a mess. He remains a quality player who needs the right environment to flourish. Coutinho has struggled with injuries and bad form in recent years but quality wise he's a much better player than Hakan. Maybe he wouldn't be a great fit for our tactics but he would be worth the risk. And how is Hakan a safe bet when he has only played well at Milan as a CAM and he had just one good year out of 4 at Milan?

It's a serious argument for Hakan when we talk about players mentioned. We didn't talk about Verratti, I wouldn't bring in argument like that if we talked about world class players.

Okay, VdB didn't failed at United but he also hasn't shown anything there. So how can we say he's better than Hakan?

Ceballos, yes was great at first season, was poor in the second season. Pretty typical with young players. I'd say a huge risk compared to Hakan.

Coutinho, nothing more to say. Your opinion is there, mine is he wouldn't fit to our midfield at all.

Hakan is a safe bet because we know what we're gonna get. He has played multiple years in Serie A, so our management has thus obviously followed him much more than those other names mentioned. They see him fitting to our squad. These other names are just speculation. They needed to do the decision regarding Hakan right now. That is a huge point in this also.

Exactly! We are in a financial shit, when we need to sell one or two top talents but in the same time to remain competitive (milk te money from UEFA CL). We are not in a position to take unnecessary risks. Maybe VdB, Coutinho or Ceballos may have a higher ceiling with the team, but also they are a higher risk, we could hardly afford. With Hakan, more or less, we know what we have in hand. And he has enough value for a team who want to stay in CL from Serie A.
And don't forget the cost implications. Hakan's salary is big, but the cost is acceptable. We don't know how long this covid shti wil last. If next year we would be able to fill the stadium, we turn to the same point with a loan player. And I don't believe that Coutinho, VdB will be just dry loans.

I think Cafe ment that from all those options you could consider hakan the SAFEST bet. A safe bet is still a bet, right?

Yeah, every player is a bet. Only thing Hakan needs is to adjust to the team. Everything else is clear. He has lived in the country for years, has lived even in the same city for years, has experience from the league so no surprises how the football is played in Italy. All these, even small details, plays part in the process of whether a new player can succeed or not when signing for a new team.

This shit won’t end well, in classic Inter fashion.

Ramsey was bought by Juventus 8 months after Marotta's departure.

gds - Yesterday agent Beppe Riso came to Inter. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, however, there was talk of two new names. "Marotta and Ausilio have long liked Gianluca Mancini and Matteo Pessina, and it is likely that Inter have taken information on the situation of the two Roma and Atalanta players".

Riso is also agent of Dimarco, Salcedo, Gagliardini, Sensi and Radu.He did say Radu, Sensi and Dimarco will be at Inter next season. He also did say they talked about someone else.

So Gazzetta simply throws those two names only because their agent met with Inter. While he's the agent of 5 of our players. :D

They are really making up these things out of thin air.

Pretty much. Riso said yesterday they discussed about a new name so GdS basically checked his best non Inter clients and brought them up as potential targets.

Most of Marotta’s Inter signees are easy (not the most skilled) targets except for Hakimi and Barella.
