He hasn't been particularly good. He's just padding his stats with converted penalties.
I think after our recent penalty debacles, I'm going to stop calling converting penalties stat-padding, it's clearly a skill - Lautaro :palm:

Pinamonti in a swap/getting us a discount on Bremer would be the dream.

We’ll never be a top club again without signing a world class striker and midfielder and right wing back.. whether you accept it or not Calhanoglu, Dzeko and Dumfries are ass and they aren’t world class calibre players. They can win us Serie A but we’ll always be massive underdogs against europes best just as we are against liverpool.

In case I never voiced my opinion on this player.. Lautaro is also ass. I wasnt implying hes good enough either but hes a really good support striker. Happy hes padding his stats so we can rob a team of 90+ Million

My friend, you live in metaverse probably or in the '90. But in the fucking real world, we cannot afford to buy 3 world class players. We are just poor.
If you cannot buy a world class team like City & Co, you need to develop it. It requires time and skills. Things we are not known for.

Not a single word on my post said we should sign a world class player. I’m as realistic as they come I know we can’t sign Haaland or Mbappe.. we have never signed these kinds of players. We still end up with players like Barella, Brozovic, Skriniar, De Vrij, Lukaku, Hakimi who are world class. Its all about opportunity and most importantly buying the right players before they get into the radar of the big teams. Instead of going for unproven players or even proven mediocrity.

This is almost impossible task, cuz we don't have money obviously. And in your example, the only player who fits to your description is Skriniar. SDF was a free agent, Barella, Hakimi and Lukaku cost us a lot of cash, and Brozo was developed in many seasons here. In today's world of football is quite difficult to get young quality talents for cheap, because everyone who has 6-7 decent games in a row, gets 30-40 mln price tag on his back immediately.

You post is a contradiction.
"Buying the right players before they get into the radar of the big teams" is the definition of unproven players. If they are proven they are already on the radar.

Some players are more unproven than the others. And the price is different. Even in our precarious financial conditions we could every 2 years at least make an investment for a player like Barella (40m euro let's say). The outcome will depend if we fuck or not this type of investment.

Take Scamacca for example and his supposedly 40m price tag. Marotta, Simone and Ausilio (or whoever our scouter is) need to sit at the table and analyse if he had the attributes to become a good/great forward to lead our attack for the next 7-8 years at least. If yes go for him. This is a classical exemple of player under the radar.

Nandez starting to not make sense to me. And also fuck Cagliari.

Better to go for Frattesi and identify someone who can sub Brozovic.
The thing is Nandez is eager to leave and Cagliari is a sinking ship, so it's easier to get Nandez now than convincing Sassulo to let one of his best players go in the middle of season. Plus Sassulo is gonna ask something we probably can't afford now.

I agree. Lets not waste our money on average players just coz they don't cost too much. There is nothing about Nandez that tells me he is better than Vecino. Better save the money, we are ok re midfielders this season. When Vidal goes in the summer, we will have a bigger budget to get a better midfielder. I rather we spend our budgets on less players but quality ones.

It was the same re Correa, I wish we had not spent that money. We should have saved that 35m, and waited till we could spend 50-60m on a quality striker.

Aren't we interested in Nandez because he can play RWB? I don't really see him as a midfielder for Inter but as a RWB he would be usable. But yeah I'd rather pass this one and save money for a real reinforcement.

Anyone wants to sign him?:yao:

He costs so little. Lets get him, and maybe use Kia Joorabchian as the intermediary and pay 45m for him :yao:

Sassuolo also just sold a player for good money so they aren’t as desperate to make a sale right now.

According to GdS, Inter's top target for the summer is Frattesi but the cost is high (Sassuolo are asking for 30m) and there's a heavy competition. If Sensi leaves in January Inter could make a move for Villar as vice Brozovic.
