INTER STILL KEEN ON SUMMER MOVE FOR DE PAUL

Inter are prepared to pounce for Rodrigo De Paul should Atletico Madrid place him on the transfer list in the summer.

The 27-year-old Argentinian forward has struggled to find a spark with coach Diego Simeone and his performances have suffered as a result this season, with the player failing to fully convince in Spain. Recent reports suggest that he’s happy with the idea of possibly returning to Italy in the summer, but things all depend on Atletico.

As detailed by FcInterNews, Inter requested information about De Paul in the January transfer window, but they were pushed away by Atletico’s requests. Things still haven’t ignited between the player and Simeone, however, so they may decide to cut their losses in the summer.

Should Atletico transfer list De Paul, Inter would look to swoop in and secure his signature, possibly offering a loan deal with a buy option attached. Considering the club’s financial limitations, it’s incredibly unlikely that they’ll be able to pull off a definitive transfer.
I would be veery happy to add De Paul, remember how that was the plan right away? He is clearly the best option, mature and Serie A proven. More ready than Frattesi and not dinosaur Matic (won`t even comment on that rumour!).

De Paul will be 28 this summer, so hopefully we can get him for less than the 35M spent by Atletico?

I dislike De Paul, for every two good things he does, after that he makes a stupid mistake or gets too heated. I'm against it just like I was against Vidal.

We have a moody Brozo and a never stop bitching Barella, together with unpredictable Vidal and unlikeable Hakan. Can't we get somebody who is calm, like Eriksen? Really really against De Paul

I would be interested on De Paul if we can get him on free loan with discount and salary cut? I doubt that is possible?

Maybe we should stay after Frattesi? He is cost less, has lower wages and is young. Then try to find one DM!

How can y'all be against De Paul? He provides such quality, and goal scoring ability. Moreover, he can rotate with both Barella and Calhanoglu, and it will ensure there is strong competition for those spots.

While he makes some mistakes, that can be ironed out. Don't forget he has been in teams where he had to take too much of the creative burden, or in overly defensive setups (he was been wasted and played out of his best position at Atletico).

I think De Paul would be good player to us and would suit to Inzaghi system and would give us option to rotate.

De Paul went to Tico as Saul went to Chelsea on loan. Now both transfers have not gone well as planned and I’ts unlikely that Chelsea will use their option to keep Saul? Tico payed ~€40m on De Paul and Chelsea have that ~£40m option to keep Saul. So Tico is now stuck with both De Paul and Saul. There might be change we can get some discount but I just don’t see us to commit to 27 year player for 35-40m with high wages unless he is clear upgrade to Barella or Hakan?

I think we are looking lower cost options like Frattesi, Veretout… 15-25m with few million less wages?

We may demand De Paul as a counterpart for Lautaro's deal. Let's not delude ourselves that El Toro will stay. And this time I prefer cash + player formula, because otherwise the Chinese will get all the money.

I would vote for Frattesi. Our starting 3 mids are solid. We need backups more imo and De Paul seems too expensive for that role for Inter who need to sell a top player every summer. If they sell Lautaro they shoul get a proper striker for that money, not a midfielder imo

yea, I like De Paul, but is he a replacement for Chala or is he a sub player? But if we are going to attack liga once again, I agree we must have at least one super sub in midfield

Very delicate choice for Inter, if Frattesi and De Paul deals can actually be done

I would sell Calhanoglu and let go Vecino and Vidal for Frattessi and De Paul. We could save wage money with moves like that.

With Vidal and Vecino and probably Sensi leaving we need 3 new midfielders. Having a vice-Brozo and two other midfielders who could upgrade our bench and give extra options beside our starting trio is a must.

I don't mind Gagliardini staying but we can't start the next season with the same poor bench.

De Paul would be great signing.
We can always play Barella in Brozo role if Brozo injured.

De Paul is possible only on a loan deal. We ain't gonna buy him this summer.

He also confirmed in his twitter that the rumors if him being unhappy or Atletico being unhappy with him are not true.

After 10 assists in 33 games you want to sell Calhanoglu?
Didn't say we need to do that, but if we have to, that is not a bad idea. Imagine if Hakan is sold for 50-60mil, we could bring new pieces in like Frattessi and De Paul (even tho I don't like him)

Otherwise no, don't sell Hakan unless if an interested club wants to overpay

Let's get real. No one is going to pay 50-60m for 28-year old Hakan. Best case scenario we receive an offer of 20-30m for him and it isn't worth selling him at that price.

We don't necessarily need an upgrade over Hakan. We just need someone to give him competition and add creativity to the team. If De Paul can join on loan with option, fine. Else, not worth it.

With clubs like Newcastle, you never know. Big prices for a player the club don't want to sell is nothing new. I wouldn't say there is no possibility a rich club could come knocking for one of our midfield trio.

This is banter mentality and I will not tolerate it.

Anyway, as everyone has already said, we badly need a Brozovic alternative for next season.

We need a guy who is more defensively minded than Brozovic, but competent on the ball, and can keep and recycle possession under pressure. Someone who can give Brozo a rest and can come off the bench to help us defend a lead.

Currently, our midfield depth is so poor that subbing a tired and booked Brozovic in order to defend a lead, ironically just makes us defensively weaker. With the exception of Vidal occasionally, this is what happens when your midfield subs are defensively incompetent and can't keep the ball to save their lives.

I'm not yet sold on Agoume. I'd prefer he spent more time developing in France instead of sitting on our bench, but if Limone thinks he can use him then let him.

I'd prefer someone like Zambo Anguissa who has been a great signing for Napoli, and if I remember correctly, is on loan from Fulham with an option to buy. I expect it to be exercised but if it falls through, we should pounce and make another loan offer.

Frattesi seems to be gravitating, personally, towards Rube, if I'm interpreting his interview correctly.
