French Guiana have progressed to the second round of Gold Cup qualification via w/o. They will face Trinidad and Tobago.

Trinidad and Tobago have qualified to the group stage of the Gold Cup after beating French Guiana on penalties. They will play in group A.

I kinda want to see meme players from the Brazilian League play against El Salvador and Curaçao now.

if they did that then they should make Concacf into Oceania and give South America 2.5 more spots. Costa Rica can join as well as panama.

You remove those teams and you have Oceania level of shitness.

They should finally merge the two federations. I get the distance stuff, but it's not as if the Asian one is that much harder to pull off, especially with Australia now involved.

8 spots (in the 32 team setup) between them and they have 51 members iirc, so you have several options:
1) Make it so that 48 are in the group stage: 4 groups of 6 teams, top 2 advance to World Cup
2) Have a 16x3 group stage, top team advances, then knockout games for the 8 tickets. Very few games here though.
3) Knockout games from lower coefficient nations until you reach 32 teams, 8 groups of 4, top teams advance to World Cup.
4, 5, 6, 7... pretty sure there's loads of options here.

CONCACAF is already regionalized, so you can keep the Copa America as an exclusive competition under whatever format they want.

What happens to the Libertadores and Concachampions then?

Yeah I mean I would like the US to play copa America but in no way do I want to do World Cup qualifying with them. I just want to have my cake and eat it to. No benefit to the US doing qualifying in South America.

Someone made a thread about this idea once: https://forzainterforums.com/index.php?threads/time-to-merge-concacaf-and-conmebol.14186/

I'll repeat my thoughts:

Honestly, I don't think this will create the juggernaut you're envisioning. I think this would mean that the South American teams would whoop Mexico and the U.S. regularly, and as a result 6 or 7 South American teams would qualify for the World Cup instead of 4 or 5. You're underestimating the talent gap between the two federations, imo. I think if you put a middling team like Peru or Chile in CONCACAF, they would win it

Brazil and Argentina would never let the US host every single Copa America till the end of time either like the US gets to do with the gold cup.

how they had the balls to go FIFA is corrupt when they host every single Concacaf event

Davies just withdrew due to injury, so I retract this statement.
