Having success with Acerbi, Mikhy, Darmian etc, very cheap or free, aging players. Not everyone will be a successs. For once I would like to hit jackpot with a young , strong, cheap future star CB like Thiaw. He cost 6M€ ffs.

But no. Always have to go for easier route like Nacho.

Given the number of jackpots Milan have hit recently with Tomori Kalulu and Thiaw, I'd expect them to defend a slightly bit better in Seria A and in CL

Yeah, Milan didn't score a single goal against us in 2023, while we scored 7 against them. I don't know about jackpots. It's maybe jackpot for Milan's level, but we are at higher level.

What about Jaka Bijol from Udine? 3 goals 2 asists for CB is not that bad. Season rate: 7.0
I put him in the Players suggestions few months ago. He will be very suited for our style. I don't know how much he will cost though.

Yikes, K2 salary is insane if Fab is right. Pass then, unless Chelski are content to haemorrhage more cash and pay part of his salary.

That's why I only mentioned Thiaw. The german guy is very young and looks strong. And he barely featured in all of those big wins over Milan. And whenever he replaced Kjaer/ Tomori, he was instantly better than them.

He cost almost nothing, just like Acerbi did. But with Thiaw you can sell him for 50-60M€ in few years. With Acerbi you need to think about replacement already.

Im just trying to think of a big fast tall monster for Skriniar spot and find Thiaw a good candidate. But life ain't FM aswell. Its a very important position to fill. Has to have experience too. But not another 34 year old snail paced, with a huge 3 year contract. We need speed at this position too.

I get your point, but let not overreact here. We all thought Tomori, Kjaer, Kalulu, Calabria... were a real deal when they were first introduced. Then they regressed. Let's see how it turns out for Thiaw this time before reaching any conclusion. He can be a real jackpot, and he also can be the jackpot we thought we'd hit with Juan Jesus and Murillo.

Also, tactical compatibility is very important. de Vrij was the best defender in the league, then Inzaghi came and he couldnt hack it anymore. We just can't go after all the young and promising defenders out there just because they're available, we need to identify what we need and stick with it.

I don't know how seriously pushing for Chalobah, but today I read that he wants to prove himself to Pochettino.

MU are terminating Maguire's contract. He's a meme because of the serious flaws in his games, but he has some serious qualities as well that's why he's good with England and Leicester. I'd love to have him here if he's willing to accept like 4m/year. Relieve him of leading the defense line duty and allow him to venture forward as a RCB would do a lot of goods to his performance I think. If it doesnt work out, at least we would have some meme to replace Gag

Is he suited for RCB position at all?
For Inzaghi's style, CBs should be comfortable playing with their feet. Not sure how Maguire fits that category.

Koulibaly on loan would be perfect, half of the wage from Chelsea )

Nacho as a newbie transfer for serie a is okay enough. Pavard too expensive and riskier. Koulibaly would be good addition(only he and Lukaku could be considered from Chelsea). additional newbie guy i suppose is Roberto Firmino. Marcus Thuram is okay too.

Maguire is surprisingly capable on the ball, just don't task him with too many things at a time lol, he will get confused and do stupid things.

At MU, he tends to be the first in build up and the last in defense, a big role for a player whose mental capacity is not quite strong enough. He won't have to carry such big role at Inter, he won't have to be a leader in defense and in build up, he will have at least 2 more passing options (Onana and an extra CB). He will also have more freedom to push forward which suits his skillset very well.

Maguire has 2-3 skills where he's quite good but his liabilities are too many to ignore.

Hard pass.
