Here we go again. Our management refuses to find creative solutions to our (self-inflicted) problems. Why are we signing yet another mediocre player? Why do we only sign players who currently play in Italy? This signing is symbolic of everything wrong with our current approach to squad construction. Milenkovic should not be starting for a Scudetto-winning club.

Seriously. We're replacing a world class CB with Milenkovic.

Skriniar to Milenkovic is obviously a huge downgrade. I just don’t see how we’re going to do better. This is assuming we complete the Bremer signing.

Once De Vrij is offloaded as well we’ll go for Acerbi and everyone will be begging for Milenkovic level signings..

This is the best Marotta can do.

Plan ahead, selectively renew and/or sell players in order to raise funds without sacrificing our best players? Scout diligently and buy diverse players with potential to develop into great players or valuable commodities?

Nah.

Botch renewals, lose important players and devalue other assets so you have no one else to sell. Immediately go for the easy way out and worst case scenario by actively trying to sell (literally) your best player and leader at a bargain price. Waste the money on old or predictably mediocre trash from the same shortlist of Serie A players which hasn’t been updated since 2018.

Now that’s the Marotta way.

Milenkovic was a solid player a few years ago. From what I saw of him last season, he seems to have stagnated however. And it won’t be easy dealing with that cunt Commisso either.

bring both Bremer and Milenkovic need money and costly (both Cairo and Commisso are tough one to deal with). Does Suning/Inter has any money left? so far i know Suning is going to bankrupt.

I look at it’s Bremer for Skriniar and Milenkovic for De Vrij. It ease the pain a little

Milenkovic is good when played in a back 3, mediocre when played in a back 4.

The reason why we mainly sign from serie a probably has to do with the formula. We want to buy using loan + option, serie a teams ok with that foreign teams probably not.

My expectation is that we're gonna spend Skriniar's entire sale profit on Bremer and Milenkovic. In other words, we'll do nothing but take a huge risk and lose a leader while we're at it without financial benefits.

We're selling Skriniar for capital gains.
Probably De Vrij as well.

Eventually we'll sell someone else to gain a net profit on transfers. Maybe Dumfries. Or Hakan if an offer comes.

Yep. If we dont bring Bremer than its DeVrij and Milenkovic which means CL group stage elimination and no battle for scudetto.
We are in pot 3, so i am pretty sure we aint getting out of the group stage anyway. We'd have to be really lucky with the draw, which wont happen, so europa league here we come.

What is this net profit in transfers? In annual basis it just doesn't add up to count them together. Sales affect one fiscal year, acquisitions affect many.

Money in > money out

I guess it's because they're missing out on sponsorship deals. They used to get Asian companies to become sponsors here, probably in exchange for benefits between China and their respective HQ base (Korea, Japan, wherever it was). Now we're missing 30+ on that annually, missed out on tickets.

Suning wants Inter to be profitable. We all know it's very unlikely, but they can show the profits in the books if we manage to sell a bunch of players and lower our expenditure.

I'm just hoping this is for a potential buyer but I know I'm messing with my head because weakening the team doesn't help much. This is probably so that the next loans will be more favorable in terms of interest.

Really, what are the scouts doing? Maybe management feels burned after taking chances on Lazaro and Dalbert.

As I said before, the serie a experienced player obsession of the Marotta-Ausilio partnership makes me sick.
